My version of paradise
by
Hamed Saber 08-Oct-2007
I am an amateur photographer. I bought my first camera on May 2006; and started to learn photography skills from that time by myself and my own experiments. All the elder photographs on my album are shoot by my friends' cameras which borrowed by me! All your comments are welcome. I'll be appreciated by your teachings, even if you want to say that my work is garbage, please just let me know. Then I promise you to improve my skills, by using your experiences

devastated
by Omid Entezar (not verified) on Sat Oct 13, 2007 02:25 PM PDTI was so devastated when I read Kiana is engaged to be married soon. I am not usually like this, and I have never ever done this type of thing in my life, but her beautiful face has carved a big gorge in my brain. I am a very rational and responsible person. Please let me know if she by any remote chance might break up her engagement, meanwhile I will try to stop thinking about her. With all due respect.
Great Photos

Your Pictures Mr. Saber, they are my subject
by Faribors maleknasri M.D. (not verified) on Thu Oct 11, 2007 12:11 PM PDTDear Mr. Saber, the other day i admired you Pictures and thought the most striking effect are the added captions. Now I know that I was wrong. the
captions are only of second importance.the highest quality of your pictures is not only the so much pleasure so many visitors of the Iranian have but the fact that you have made us as a unforgettable present with your Pictures and the fact that you have knoted us iranian again to each other. All the comments are only Messages of happiness and mental satisfaction concerning the pictures.No one has ever said a bad word, about nobody. I think we iranians away from home can not solve any problem there. some of us see no problem anyway, some others see only problems. your Pictures Mr. Saber have whiped out these artificialdifferences. I see this from all comments . No other Publication in Iranian has ever had so much positiv resonance, no other has produced so much unity. that is the MAXIMUM i mean.Greetings

@HOUSHANG,

: As I wrote in my profile, I'm an amateur photograapher, using an amateur point&shoot camera: Sony Cybershot DSC-H1
This camera is very simple and cheap digital non-SLR camera, so its lens cannot be changed.
@cyclicforward: Thank you. But we have hundreds of professional photographers here in Iran, which you can find lots of them who their works are far better than me in our photo group at Flickr: Iranian
@Majid: About technical information of each shot, you simply can check the original photo page, and then click on "More properties". For example properties of the PWC photo is here.
@Vavaloo: Yes, we have tons of limitations here in my homeland. You can see an example of my acceptance in this photo; But we - Iranian youth - know how to keep ourselves happy and full of life. I can't see and feel what you saw and felt in faces of my portraits. Almost all of my portraits are my friends, and I didn't ask them to pose for my camera, and fortunately all my friends are always happy.
@shahireh sharif: You can check my photo album here, but if you really want to see some great, professional and lovely photos of Iran, you can check the photo pool of Iranian group too.
@ironiGirl: Hahah :D Khashayar (Xerxes) received some similar invitations when I upload his portrait in my photo-stream ;)
He himself is a very good photographer, while a lovely friend of me. You can check his own photo album here and contact him there ;)
I for got to say that I uploaded that portrait of Khashayar after launching the 300 movie on cinemas. You can find some more info about my photo and that movie here and here.

by just another expat (not verified) on Mon Oct 08, 2007 08:43 PM PDTYour pictures are gorgeous. I haven't been to Iran in 28 years. Your pictures make me want to return. I manage a photo department for a magazine and look at photos all day. I can honestly say for the first time in months I actually enjoyed looking at photos that captured something different.

And yes, I meant #36, noticing the trace of jet ski behind and the push of the wave in front,it's perfect timing and focus factor combined,one can feel the movement yet see the details .
Again, great job my friend.

It seems to me that you have great eyes for color and the subject and settings are beautifully selected. My favorite picture is 004e. However some of them are very private ones, which also are very nice. what i admire most on the Pictures is the Declaration you give to each one. I have downloaded a lot of Pictures from "Iranian" and i have always missed the Declarations of them. as I saw the first Picture of your serial i had to think involuntary on the "middle of the roads"! have a nice time , may you be successful. Heartly Greetings.

by Hamed Saber (not verified) on Mon Oct 08, 2007 12:43 PM PDTDear all friends, you can find the answer of almost all of your questions by checking the original page including large and extra large size of photos in my online photo stream at Flickr:
//flickr.com/photos/hamed
Almost all of my photos are geotagged, so you can find the location where I shoot them:

If Mr. Jahanshah Javid added a link to original page of each photo, they would be easier to find them.

@farrad02: Yes. Click the "map" link under "Additional Information" paragraph in bottom right side of the page:

@Majid: I don't know what PWC means, but if you mean the #36, it's taken by a cousin of my wife.
//flickr.com/photos/hamed/123719718
@Omid Entezar: Yes, Kiana will marry about 20 days hence ;)
@Shirin: Dear Shirin, Somayeh is my wife. I'm just 27, and don't have any child yet

by Majid on Mon Oct 08, 2007 12:07 PM PDTI do like pictures #4 and #18 a lot, BUT I love #3 !
Very crisp pictures too and who shot the picture of you on PWC in Kish Island? noticing the push of the water in front of PWC, the shutter speed is perfect.
Very well done.

by Anna Marie (not verified) on Mon Oct 08, 2007 11:46 AM PDTHello from Denmark
My Iranian friend just sent me a link to these pictures. I really like them. The women are so beautiful and graceful. I love their smiles. I cant believe that Im saying it, but I find their modest dress makes them ever more beautiful. These pics makes me wish I knew them in person...they are so full of life.

naturally Beautiful
by Omid Entezar (not verified) on Mon Oct 08, 2007 11:15 AM PDTUndeliverable natural beauty, the scenery too, but I am talking about the ladies in these photos. The advertising world with tons of make up on their super models could not produce such beauties. Somayeh, Parisa, Mojgan, Soudabeh, Mrs. Najafi, Kiana, Shabnam, you are gorgeous, with all due respect to the married ones. Is your sister Kiana married, engaged, or otherwise involved with any one because I love her, with all due respect. I think we in the West have been deprived of our own beautiful origins.
One piece of advise, I understand these pictures are mostly portraits and family type pictures, and portrait of Nakhoda who could be a movie star or at least extra in the movies was great, but he could have even looked better if he was put in the context of the sea or his boat. A great example of an object in his proper context is “Hossein The Runner”.
My favorite photoss: #10- Soudabeh With The Ladybug, #9- Hands Holding A Yellow Rose, #5- Hossein The Runner.

by Shirin (not verified) on Mon Oct 08, 2007 11:14 AM PDTDear Hamed
Your photographs were absolutely wonderful. It reminded me of my lost paradise -my beautiful Iran and its beautiful people. Your girl, Somayeh,has such a lovely face and looking at Hossein's "rabbit" smile made my heart warm. They all look so happy and content.
Thank you for sharing them with us.
