Photo essay: Berkeley's Central Stage

Two of the most creative members of the Iranian-American community in Berkeley, California, have joined forces to launch "Central Stage" -- a permanent space for cultural events and social activities. Mansour Taeed, better known for his Javane Theater Company, and Shahrzad Khorsandi, director of the Shahrzad Dance Academy, introduced the center to the public last Saturday (November 3, 2007). Performers included setar master Kourosh Taghavi and his students as well as members of the dance Academy. These photos are from the opening night.

I have my blog, I love my blog, I'm grateful to you for my blog.  I love you for giving me a blog and owe you a debt forever.  I will repay it to you in Behesht, I promise.  I will procure you houris.  I will.  I swear. And NEVER write you channeled stream of consciousness again when I go hypomanic. 

BUT

WHY DID SOME GUY'S SWEET LITTLE POST ABOUT PROTESTING SHAH IN 70's GET DELETED? He's upset, he pointed it out, me too. It's been happening a lot. I had anwered that post. At length.  The deletion is not only unfair to him, it makes my entire thread illogical for any dusty old relic who turns up who may perhaps still read in a linear fashion.  Like some of my people. American and Iranian, I invited yesterday to check out my blog so they could get into this site.  Including a VERY VERY VERY wise old soft "sozi" Iranian scientist with a humanist heart and a spiritual core, one of the "soft left" who fought for the Revolution and had to flee...one who knows LOTS about organizing and tolerance and healing wounds...

but who reads in a linear fashion...

I'm fine if you delete this one after you read it, obviously it's off topic, (Not that it's up to me of course but just so you know...)  But these absurd deletions...............?????????????????????????

Hmmmmm....yeah....new center, new home.....thanks so much jj. For this one and the other "khaneh dust". You know, actually, for two decades my main field was theater....
