Judge, I surely love to see

by LostIdentity (not verified) on

Judge, I surely love to see people without borders, but definitely feel proud when I see a fellow countryman with some outstanding achievements whether he/she lived in Syrus era, Safavi era, Pahlavi Era or post revolution era.

My whole point is that "az mast ke bar mast"; Whatever happened in our vatan is only done by us, the people who live in vatan. We are a very "damdami mezaaj" people. We change our principles fast rather than our tactics and strategies. How long are we going to say that shah did this and mollas did that. Until we accept being accountable, we will flunk. Freedom/democracy is a terrible idea without accountability - rule of law both at international, society, fimily and individual domains. I think that the brave women of Iran are fighting for their rights in a civil manner and getting what they want gradually. This movement will surely stay with our culture because the process is gradual and being exercised and congested thoroughly.

I can see that many of us live in the west, probably act as a civilized member of society even better than westerners, but when we come to a hamvatan union, suddenly we snap out of our civil suit and behave with violent anomalies!!!!!!

Lost identity, ....you are wrong !!!

by The fair Judge (not verified) on

It is far from me to defend Shah but I suggest you go and read some history books and you will see that Shah with all his faults, did a lot of good work to push Iran into the modern world. You have to judge his actions relative to the times Iran was living in, with an aggressive and a powerful superpower in the north which had shown it was willing to occupy Iran an divide it.
Just look at what position the country was in when he took over in 1320 and what position we were in when he left in 1357 and compare to what the mullas took then and where we are now !!!
In fact whatever these mullas have done has been the continuation of his plannings, including this nuclcear programme.
I am certainly no fan of the Shah but before you judge him, go back and read some unbiased history books.
Also if you think that Iran is going to be a modern country overnight if there were no sanctions etc, then you are wrong again. Take a good look at the government from top to bottom and you will see why Iran is not a modern country.
We should celebrate the achievements of Iranian women, whether in sports or any other field for that matter and encourage them to take a full part in the society. God knows we need them as men folks haven't exactly set the world alight in the last 30 years or so in Iran !!!

Hey Eyerani boys, Cheap

by LostIdentity (not verified) on

Hey Eyerani boys, Cheap shot;
The amount of support shah had from west, hich ghalati natoonestim bekonim. You think we will become a modern country overnight with all the sanctions and boycotts?

Give up all this "I'm the best" mentality. We always think it's either black or white; Get some gray scale in your brain and put aside all this racist mentality. It's always good to be proud of our culure and heritage but do NOT get fascinated by it or you will be out of touch with reality.
We always want to find something/someone to blame everything that goes wrong and don't even consider ourselves accountable. At least something we can learn from American culture is to be a man and be accountable for what is happening to us. I think little by little the young generation is realizing this in Iran. We won't get anywhere by Nokari to zaman shahi ya dolla rast shodan bikhodi to zaman akhoondi.

Japanese proverb:
Vision without action is a DREAM
Action without vision is a NIGHTMARE
