What I find funny is not the supporters of Israel's boasting about the newest "bunker-busting" bombs that are supposed to rip Iran into shreds. For IMHO, these toys are rather a sort of glorified penis-extentions to the otherwise inadequate agressor wannabes -- as witnessed by Americans who started their campeign of "shock and awe" in Iraq and Afghanistan with "mother of all bombs" who are still getting their butts handed to them by a bunch of primitive zealots!

What is funny though, is these cheerleaders of Israeli military's knee jerk reactions to any discussion with regards to the ME conflict as "irrelevant" and their jumping at those involved in such discussions as "IRI supporters" and not having the interests of Iran as priority. Yet to them, boasting about Israel's latest military toys (in a 'man aanam keh Rostam bovad pehelvan' manner) is totally cool and in line with interersts of Iran!

OK, we all know that Israel is dying for starting the war against Iran, and the fact that she would not be able to finish it up is killing her......and the US is currently totally disabled...........and China loves what she sees coming........and there's no new development to the rest of the story, including the new fancy ones for the bunker stuff......let's call them Bibi toys..........

Now, JJ has to forgive me for my kinky observation..........and the author of the blog should excuse me for the off-topic silly bit:

This is nothing new!

Those who have been following the news for the past 10 years have heard this on-and-off military threat against the IRR.

The IRR has brought it upon itself! For 32 years, IRR has called USA and Israel its # 1 enemies! For what, nobody knows! Now that "kafgir be tah'e deeg khordeh,"all the cheerleaders of IRR are screaming bloody murder!

If US and/or Israel had intended to attack Iran, they would have already done it! Who could/would have stopped them, you? Seriously, Dr. TP, Dr. Amirahmadi, NIAC, CASMII, or who?

What do you guys expect when your beloved president Ahmadinejad constantly trumpets the annihilation of Israel! Why is it that you can dish it in but not dish it out? Or the other way around!

If I were Israel, I would seriously point all of my nuclear arsenals at Mecca, Damascus, Qom, Cairo, and every other threatening nations around me! That's called defending one's existence. 

And let's see what you tough guys can do about it!Are you going to write more of this kind of a pathetic narratives?

Guys, repeat after me, " It's the end of the road and time for the OUTLAW IRR and it's nochehs!"

BTW, Bavaf, I disagree with you on many issues. But, one thing I liked about you is your effort in NOT using profanity and I admired you for that. I am not sure what you had to eat last night. Hope you feel better!

The title is a bit rough around the edges! but it gets the

message across.

What is going for certain to put an end to Jewish state is the mere demography of Israel and sheer number of Arab-Israeilis's that are going to form the majority in the jewish state. A distinct possibility that  many, many Isreali historians have repeatedly pointed out to.

Bibi, the serial bungler, should be a lot more concerned with the tent cities all across Israel, the independent Palestinian nation (we might witness yet  another Intifada very shortly), eroding American-Jewish support in the US (take note of creation of a pro-peace Jewish lobby in the US),...did we mention demography.

On the other side of the equation: IR is waiting for this attack as it was waiting for Mojahedin's "Armed Phase" back in early 80's. An outside attack and resort to the imposition of Martial Law throughout the country might be, probably is, its last resort.

At the end of the day, no one in their right mind would have even thought about such unspeakable stupidity, if it wasn't for Obama's need  for jewish votes.

Even if a single shot was fired anywhere close to Persian Gulf/ Straight of Hormuz , the sort of turbulence it would creat in today's world economy (already on very fragile grounds) could put the whole world-system in limbo.

It is IRI that started messing around with Israel and not the other way around. The business of Israel and Phalestine is no business of Iranians. Thanks to Khamenei he made sure that Iran to be on cross hair of Israel.

The main motivation rather IRI military ineptitude. But in general I agree that if they thought they could get away with it, they would not have hesitated thus far to start a criminal war.

Nevertheless, I know, they know and the whole world  know that they cannot possibly ever get away with such foolish and suicidal adventure thus makes the “wiping off the map” purely an empty rhetoric.  And I believe to use such rhetoric to justify any possible attach on Iran, since it is based on fictitious logic,  will be criminal and deserves condemnation.

Dear MPD: 
your extra point is precisely what Israelis politicians need to have hard look at?  IRI has already proved they will hit back, if not today then tomorrow.

Regarding your last point, I see it differently and disagree.  I believe much like any other nation, including Iran & IRI, the mass population usually circle around their government in unity against any outside enemy.  Any attach, especially if it is turned to a full fletched war, will be the catalyst for Netanyahu support and survival, much like it will be for the IRI.   This would indeed be a huge setback for Iranian people to say the least not to mention all the death and destruction that would come as a result not only for innocent Iranians but also for innocent Israelis.

سوال این است، در صورتِ وقوع جنگ، آیا اسرائیل از مرگ و نابودی، که به صورت اقدامات تلافی‌جویانه به آنها بازگردانده خواهد شد، به اندازهء جمهوری اسلامی ایران خوشحال خواهد شد، و یا اینکه آنها فکر می‌کنند که ایران یک فلسطین دیگر است که آنها می توانند به مدت ٦٠ سال به آن تجاوز کنند بدونِ آنکه در عوض آن به نحوی مجازات شوند؟  با شرح توضیح دهید.

As the author has always claimed to be an active NIAC member - the question is, if this is a NIAC approved article?

Let's not mistake IRI's military ineptitude....

For lack of intent. On many occasions Emam Khomeini and his minions, like Sayyad Shirazi among others, declared their intent to march into Karbala and from Karbala to Qods. The fact that the IRI was defeated in its campaign to overthrow the Iraqi Baathist regime and conquer Jerusalem has to do with the IRI's pathetic military incompetence, not due to its lack of intent in conquering Iraq or Qods. The intent is still there, currently manifested in the IRI policy of sponsoring terrorist proxies in Iraq, Lebanon, in the Palestinian territories, etc. with the aptly named IRGC Qods Brigade as the responsible IRI entity.

Great argument and I should also add that the Netanyahu government is at a diplomatic dead end by its own fault.  The Palestinian authority leadership now has more sympathy and understanding than does the Israeli government in both the capitals of Europe and the United States general public. That is trouble that Israel must find a way to get out of, But if in the midst of this mess Israel actually presses the accelerator toward Iran then Netanyahu should start digging his own grave first.
