Shirzadegan

by Frashogar on

Thank you for your note.

I don't believe it is the mullahs who are saying the opposition is coming mainly from Jews and Baha'is. It appears that the Jews and Baha'is themselves are spreading this disinformation and creating such perceptions (especially on this site) in order to 1. force the opposition to side with them and their agenda on all issues and 2. in order to set themselves up as a political bloc in the event of the mullahs downfall. Those mullahs who articulate such points of view are either deceived or have reasons of their own to repeat such nonsense.

As you say, the opposition to the IR regime is proportionately coming from ordinary folks, many of whom don't even believe in a religion. But consider that in Egypt it was predominantly secularists and nationalists who marched on Tahrir square and brought down Mubarak, with the Muslim Brotherhood staying away until after Mubarak fell. Certain interests outside of Iran are attempting to position the Baha'is (and not so much Iranian Jews) in the same manner that Mohammad Mursi and the Muslim Brotherhood were positioned to take power in Egypt in the post-Mubarak period.

Politics is a very, very dirty game!

Bahai and jews are less than 1%

by Shirzadegan on

What is this garbage propagandas? In my whole life, I only saw 1 Bahaii in my high school time and I never met any Jew.  All religion minority in Iran is less than 1% of whole population. Some idiots keep trying to say mullah's oppositions are either Bahai or jews.

No sir. Iranian dissents are ordinary people. Some of them even don't believe in any religion. Mullah's paid agents with no concisous about selling out their country, encourage the ideas that dissetns are either Bahaii or Jews.

جالب بود

MaryamJoon

I watched the interview and found it interesting.

It's an interview.  Yes, it goes against what people often say about the issues.

But you can't blame this interview on the Mullahs.

I think that's the frustration certain people are having - There's just no way to blame what he says in the video on the Mullahs.

irrational and hateful obsession w/ the Baha'i?

by MaryamJoon on

The person giving the interview has been a Bahai for 40 years and was one of the assembly leaders ... why shouldn't he give an interview?

Why the irrational and hateful obsession with trying to smear anyone that views the interview?

The Pathological obsession of white America & Israel

by Frashogar on

With Iran and ME.

What exactly is the point of US and Israeli policy, besides showing irrational and
hateful obsession w/ Iranians and Muslims?  Assuming what Netanyahu claims in is valid, though he presents no evidence there, how does that make Iran all that different from other national governments?  National governments and politicians of all flavors often show various
corrupt practices.  So, what's the point of focusing on Iran here,
whatever the merits of Netanyahu's claims may be?

--

The rest of your post can just as well be interpolated in the same manner.

As for Amnesty International and the Anglo-American based HR organizations in NYC (HRW etc), none have credibility anymore with activists especially since they proved they don't care a fig about actual human rights violations (particularly as human rights advocacy in the West these days is roundly dependent on who can pay for such advocacy). They sure didn't care in places such as Libya when NATO & and its Islamist cohorts violated HR, or in Bahrain, or in Syria at the hands of the mercenary Islamist FSA and elsewhere throughout the world where HR violations don't happen to fit whatever destabilization narrative America and its interests happens to be spinning at the time.

That is the case here. Frederick Glaysher is a long time Baha'i veteran. He is one voice among many who have said the same thing. He is an American and not an Iranian. He is certainly not on the payroll of any government or interest group, yet he says the same things many other people have been saying for over a century.

Have a nice day.

Pathological obsession w/ the Baha'i

by maghshoosh on

What exactly is the point of this blog, besides showing irrational and hateful obsession w/ the Baha'i?  Assuming what Glaysher claims in the clip is valid, though he presents no evidence there, how does that make the Baha'i faith all that different from other organized religions?  Organized religions and priesthoods of all flavors often show various corrupt practices.  So, what's the point of focusing on the Baha'i here, whatever the merits of Glaysher's claims may be?

In fact, in one of the interviews at the site linked to by the blogger, Frashogar, Glaysher asserts that "the Iranian Muslims have always had a great deal of animosity towards the Baha'i faith with periodic persecution, denial of the most basic human rights to Baha'is in Iran, murder, torture, desecration of cemeteries and the most hineous kinds of acts and violations of basic rights of humanity."  This very well frames the disturbed mentality of those infatuated by this topic.  And the irony is that these bigotted morons are just wasting their time and effort chasing after a non-threat; the Baha'i, even if they proselytize a few Muslims, are no threat to Iranian Muslims in general or the IRI in particular.  The threat flows in the other direction, as shown in this Amnesty International video:

//player.vimeo.com/video/44760912

There are several cult-like groups among Iranians inside the country or in the diaspora, but the one that overshadows the others and affects the most people is the vile cult of the Leader ruling Iran and the deformed Shi'ism that's been concocted to prop it up.

Mardom Mazloom, who is itchy ...

It seems to be the people that cannot refute the interview that are doing all the scratching.  Where are the substantive refutations of the interviewee?  Where are they?  I don't see them.

These soundbites do nothing to advance the discussion Mr. Waders

by MaryamJoon on

Either you have something to contribute regarding the points raised by the interview or you have acquiesced in the validity of his points - The interviewee with 40 years of experience with this movement, and prior leadership positions within it, had something to say.  Did you refute those points?  No - you just made noise.

Waders joon

by Frashogar on

Ghorboonet beram!

Speaking of chomaagh be dasts, your American and Israeli friends are supporting the most despicable and bloodthirsty terrorist Islamist chomaagh be dasts in Libya and Syria - and all the way into Europe and North America. You see, 'azizam, all this talk of Islam being this and that, bad and evil, by the Western and NATO powers really amounts to hypocrisy and lies. They are supporting and arming these so-and-sos to kill and brutalize innocent men, women and children in Libya and Syria and call them "freedom fighters."

Talk about Islam all you want. We won't stop you because this isn't about religion. But the question to ask those of your American and Israeli friends who support you, is why they are collaborating with and using bloodthirsty Wahhabi terrorists from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and North Africa to overthrow secular regimes in the Middle East and maim and brutalize innocent people in these countries under the banner of Islam. Why, for example, does the government of Great Britian promote Wahhabism as the official "Islam" on its soil while harboring a great majority of these bloodthirsty Wahhabi jihadists who then are used in operations to kill Iranians? What is going on here with this picture?

Centuries of brain-washed antagonism

by Waders on

This ANTAGONIstic mentality has cost moslems dearly yet they just cant let go.

Nothing good has come out of it for 14 century plus why not learn a thing or 2!.

if one disgruntled employee is a sign of anything then what does the velayat dispute between Ali and Omar tell us about how much Mohammad(s) meant to his number 1s. Hell they disregareded his wishes while he was alive and after his passing.

Marryam JOON!! you should worry about who is going to reform your

may-yed idiology if at all possible.

Also note the language of these CHOMAGH be dasts, we have witnessed how they treat people on the streets of Iran. That is what antagonism does to your brains.

...the situation of the Baha'is in Iran is not a conflict between two parties, just as the relationship between the persecutor and the persecuted is not a conflict.

Reading commentaries and watching videos should only cause you to seek answers independently.  Accusations, character assassinations are the fodder for those with short attention spans. I trust that if it is important for you to know, you will investigate further.

As for the blogger, those with a memory know who it is, it's intentions, and how it operates.

Dr. Mohandes - or any one that knows about Royal history -

by MaryamJoon on

I'm asking an honest question, so forgive me if I don't know:

Correct me if I am wrong, but the conflict between the Bahai faith and Iran's government started before the Mullahs during first the Qajar era and then the Pahlavi era and continues today?  Is that right?
