Say anything, absolutely anything about the IRR, the Islamist Rapist Republic, which because of the nature of the beast will be negative, and as sure as the sun rises every morning there will be at least one if not a pack of lovy dovies who respond by a what about Israel.
You say the IRR has its rooftop sharpshooters randomly picking off peaceful Iranian demonstrators, they say what about Israel killing innocent Palestinians.
You say IRR tortures to death and rapes Iranian men, women and children for the crime of asking for their votes; they say what about Israel killing innocent Palestinians.
You say IRR has driven Iranian economy to the ground, they say what about Israel killing innocent Palestinians.
You say IRR systematically brutalizes the Iranian university students, they say what about Israel killing innocent Palestinians.
You say IRR has decimated Iranian light industry and manufacturing because of imports from China is one way of buying Chinese patronage, they say what about Israel killing innocent Palestinians.
You say IRR is paying Russians through the nose for an outdated nuke reactor which has had as many announced completion dates as Elizabeth Taylor has had husbands; they say what about Israel killing innocent Palestinians.
You say IRR is wasting Iranian national wealth on nuke when it is badly needed in the most basic things that people have an inalienable right to like clean water, basic education, health care, shelter,… they say not only what about Israel killing innocent Palestinians, but Israel has nuke too.
The upshot of it being whatever one says, them lovy dovies retort by saying what about Israel killing innocent Palestinians.
Well lovy dovies when are you going to care half as much for the plight of enslaved Iranians as you do for the Palestinians?
When as Iranians that you are is Iran going to take precedence over any other important issue for you lovy dovies?
When?

I I rarely read or respond
by Bavafa on Tue Oct 06, 2009 08:23 AM PDTI
I rarely read or respond to any thing written by Fred, mostly due to the facts that was pointed out by Setareh, thank you Setareh for making it so clear as why.
But I feel to point out that vast majority and I mean by a long shot vast majority of folks who criticize Israel, they criticize and attach IRI for the crimes that takes place in Iran as well. Human rights is not sacred and important just for Iranians, but for all in the world and we need to defend it no matter where. Now the fact that some write more about Israeli brutality, is partly because they are just so much more fascist. The situation in Palestine and Iran just don't compare, just look at the Gaza war and the war crimes that took place there. The Iranians dictatorship is an internal issue and mostly for the Iranians to sort out where as the Palestinian issue is an occupation and an international issue.
And to Cost-of-Progress: firstly, they may have left Gaza but still occupying the West Bank which is part of Palestine and their land, secondly, they left Gaza but made a big Ghetto out of it by surrounding it and controlling all aspect of their lives. How would you feel, if some one surround you house, cut water and power off and not let any thing go in or out.

Not to take sides here
by Cost-of-Progress on Tue Oct 06, 2009 07:21 AM PDTbut I agree with Fred - 185%
We MUST put Iran and Iranians first. I am not sure if everyone understands that. True that the Pals have been brutalized by the Israleils, but at the same time when Gaza was given back to them a few years back, instead of making the best of it they kept on doing the same thing they have been doing for the past 50+ years. I know this is oversimpification, but how much longer are they going to shoot worthless missles into Israel and expect positive things to come out of it? What has violence bought them in the last 6-7 years with the second entefadah?
Again, while this is sad, we have bigger problems to deal with at the home front. Let's put Iran first, let's fix our own home before veturing out to fix the gutters and the leaking roof on the neigbor's house.....
Of course, with mentality such as the majority of our people that embrace the very elements that invaded, raped, killed, maimed and enslaved their ancestors, our expectations cannot be very high.
People: PUT IRAN FIRST....
Many of us care for Iranians
by Setareh Cheshmakzan on Tue Oct 06, 2009 06:28 AM PDTMany of us care for Iranians AND the Palestinians. You Fred, care for neither. As a matter of fact, neither do you care for Israeli citizens who are themselves victims of this vicious colonial occupation.
Mr Fred, you have stuck your head in snow but we can see you! The reason people say, "What about Israel killing Palestinians; what about Israel possessing a huge stockpile of nukes (you did not mention that, did you?!); what about Israel's treatment of Palestinians as second class citizens, of their humiliation and daily torture and dehumanization, is that these utterances are RELEVANT RESPONSES to YOU and your buddies on this website who are rabid defenders and promoters of Israeli interests and plans on this website. You support AIRTIGHT SANCTIONS against Iranian economy, sanctions that will devastate businesses and impoverish and kill Iranian citizens! We here see you, Fred, you are transparent to us! YOU close your eyes to Israeli threats against Iran, the threat of unilateral bombing, but you continue your slavish and blind support of Israel. We raise the question of Israeli barbarities, because you are a defender of those barbarities. I have checked and not seen a single blog or comment from you, condemning Israeli atrocities, even at the height of Israeli siege of Gaza and its phosphorous bombing of innocent civilians. You are not trusted when you shed crocodile tears, you are full of hostility towards Iranian people and the responses you and your ilk receive and the references to "what about Israel" must be viewed in that light.
