Dear Bloggers,
In the past two years, the number of bloggers on iranian.com have increased considerably. We have poets, storytellers, history buffs, comedians, political and religious commentators... you name it!
However, the growing popularity has caused a problem too. The Blog Central page has a limited capacity of 30 blogs. That means if some bloggers are more active, it will take space away from those who do not blog as often.
Up to now I thought a limit of three blogs per day per person would be fair. But we have a number of bloggers who are very active and if the current trend continues, Blog Central would be filled by a few very active bloggers, and quickly push aside those who blog less frequently.
So I would like to ask all bloggers to limit daily blogs to a maximum of two. This way all bloggers can get a fair amount of visibility.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. And keep on bloggin'!
Love
j

How about tagline on submitted news?
by Mazdak (not verified) on Fri Mar 13, 2009 11:45 AM PDTWhile we're add it, how about those overtly combative, rah-rah taglines, especially by a very annoying individual called Farhad Kashani? Would go a line way to make this site more civil.
I agree with Naghi's brother in law
by I Agree (not verified) on Fri Mar 13, 2009 11:41 AM PDTHe's right on the money. One blog is enough for an individaul to express his/her thought unless they have a letter from a doctor or a court order.

by bajenaghe naghi on Fri Mar 13, 2009 11:33 AM PDTi think if bloggers restrict themselves to one blog per day then every one will have their blogs read by more people since they stay longer on the front page. i honestly can not imagine why any one wants to publish more than one blog per day, unless it is ordered by either a doctor or a court.
I stopped blogging because it's getting over crowded by repeat
by discouraged (not verified) on Fri Mar 13, 2009 11:24 AM PDTbloggers. For example Mr Kadivar has a few blogs a day, mostly about old pictures and events. These blogs belong to a especial section that could be called "MEMORIES", they are not blogs. I agree with 1 blog per day per blogger at this time.
with respect an ex-blogger

Giving everyone a chance
by Jahanshah Javid on Fri Mar 13, 2009 11:19 AM PDTAna, the 2-blog limit does "punish" those who blog frequently, but when space is limited we have to give a fair chance to those who write less frequently.
Do you want blog central to be filled with blogs from only 3 or 4 bloggers?
We need to have more variety from more bloggers, not less.
Khaleh Mosheh, this is just for blogs, not the news section. Not yet at least :o)
I love what Redwine said if
by Anahid Hojjati on Fri Mar 13, 2009 11:03 AM PDTI love what Redwine said if I get it correctly. I don't like giving priority to bloggers who write less. This looks like punishing some bloggers for their productivity. Maybe the comment from Amirkabear gets it right by setting limit to 1 blog. What is not fair is punishing those bloggers that by their productivity have helped IranianDotCom so far so those of us, the slower and newer ones to the scene can get better coverage.
I had expected it sooner..
by khaleh mosheh on Fri Mar 13, 2009 11:01 AM PDTBut one question- Does this include the news or just the blogs?

by Hajminator on Fri Mar 13, 2009 10:40 AM PDTMan zoor mizanam, but just can write no more than 2 blogs a month. Should it be possible to reverse the order: less frequently bloggers get the priority. Such a rule may have the effect to decrease naturally the frequency of blogs per day.
just one would do
by amirkabear4u on Fri Mar 13, 2009 10:24 AM PDTThere is only one iranian.com site so everyone should have a chance. I think one blog a day will do. That makes 7 in a week how many ore do they want?
agree

You just spoke my mind.
by Anahid Hojjati on Fri Mar 13, 2009 10:11 AM PDTJJ, You just spoke my mind. You have some prolific bloggers and then there are people like me. "My dozari has just oftadeh" that rather than submitting articles, I will have more control over editing of submitted work as a blogger. So I am planning to become a blogger. This will also give people like Shahriar and Freemanure a known destination so they can badmouth me and ask me to grow up from ana101 to ana401. Maybe that is how I will grow, gradually as I am blogging, I will move up the ladder from ana101 to ana401 just as everyone's 401 becoming 101.
