1- Old Persian / Farsi Baastaan:

The Achaemenian Kings left extensive cuneiform inscriptions in Old Persian dated roughly between 600 BCE and 300 BCE. They also left ruins which have been described as the most grandiose of the ancient world. While it is by no means certain that they were orthodox Zoroastrians, the majority opinion among scholars is that this is very likely. One of the strongest arguments for this is the frequent mention of Ahura Mazda in the inscriptions, which is almost certainly an innovation of Zarathushtra's. Their religion is also described by Herodotus in sufficient detail to leave little doubt that they were basically Zoroastrian.

It was thanks to Darius the Great that we have been able to decipher the cuneiform script, which had fallen into even deeper oblivion than Egyptian hieroglyphs.

2- Middle persian / Farsi Miyaaneh / Pahlavi :

There were several forms of Pahlavi as it evolved through time. The most notable variants are those from the Arsacid (256 BCE to 226 CE) and the Sassanian (226 to 652 CE) dynasties, which might had actually represented slightly different dialects. Also, a more cursive variant was also used for writing on papers and manuscripts. Unfortunately, many letters in the cursive script grew to be visually similar (if not identical), making the script even more complicated.

I don't have any old persian in mind, but I know few sentences from middle persian, the language of sassanian. Here it is...

Pat kaarnaamak artakhshir paapakaan aytoun nepeshteh estaad: pas hach marke alexaandr heromic, iran sheraz debisto chel kouatak khotaay poud.

Translation: In the biography of Ardershir Babakan (Sassani), it was written that after the death of Macedonian Alexander, in the country of iran there were 240 feudal principalities.

It is not so difficult to find the equivalent words in the modern persian, with some exceptions.

P.S. This is from my memory, so there may be some errors in it.

Is there any website that we can get to see the old Persian language (the real parsi language before Islam and Arabs came to Iran)?

I would love to see how different it was before and all the changes.
I'd appreciate it very much.

Losing this cuniform is so sad,isn't it!

I studied " Old Persian language",& for me it is not only another damage to " Our Persian Heritage";but to the scholary world &  world's cultural heritage.Why!?

Because by decifering any part of a " Dead Language",(as the terminology is used in historical linguistics);we unearth a part of the Human Being's past.

If the khark island is well guarded by IRI agents so who could have done this destruction, if it was not themselves? This is obviously done by them because Mullahs are afraid of the iranian history.

I don't understand why the article says that the old text is a proof of the name of Persian Gulf. The name of the Gulf comes from the fact that in the past all territories around it was persian, that's all.
