Despite the opposition of his own generals and widespread scepticism that America is ready to risk the military, political and economic consequences of an airborne strike on Iran, the president has given an “amber light” to an Israeli plan to attack Iran’s main nuclear sites with long-range bombing sorties, the official told The Sunday Times.
“Amber means get on with your preparations, stand by for immediate attack and tell us when you’re ready,” the official said. But the Israelis have also been told that they can expect no help from American forces and will not be able to use US military bases in Iraq for logistical support.

Serious Business
by Zion on Mon Jul 14, 2008 01:40 AM PDTThis is becoming serious and worrisome. I wish the world would get its damn act together and impose a severe sanction on gas and other resources to break this lunatic regime in Tehran and avoid allowing them to drag us all into a devastating war. This was top news all over Israel. I`m worried.
Iranian loosers who backed bush

the oil reserves
by K Nassery on Sun Jul 13, 2008 02:52 AM PDTBush has over three years of oil reserves sitting somewhere. That's why he refused to open the faucet when Pelosis told him he could lower prices. He needs that oil if the war begins. He's adding to the reserve and that is pushing up prices too. The price of gasoline may go up, but we get most of our oil from Canada, Mexico and Venezuela. There are unused wells here at home too.
I'd say that the hit will harm Iran most of all. The Arab Countries on the Straight are rich and unopopulated. Iran has 70 million mouths to feed and they import most of their gasoline. Those lines will dry up on day one of the conflict.
Iran really has to look at this mess and change it's mind about creating nuclear bombs. It's good to be strong, but the regime should weigh the consequences and make the decision to take the carrot and avoid any beatings with sticks. It's the logical thing to do and we know Ahmadinejad loves logic. Iranian officials called Ahmadinejad Socrates before his last trip to the US. Time to give him the arsenic. Socrates had to commit suicide in the end. I'm sure the IRI didn't remember that part of the history of Socrates when they called Ahmadinejad by that name.
I hope the regime does monitor this site. I don't trust Bush and I don't trust Israel. Look at what they have done to this planet. Take the carrot.... stop playing chess with the economy of Iran and the lives of the Iranian people. Arsenic is bitter and fatal.
Go ahead start the third world war!
by Ali reza (not verified) on Sat Jul 12, 2008 11:18 PM PDTPresident Bush once said that Iran is going to be the cause of third world war,but this does not makes sense. If he believe in what he says why would he give Israel an amber light to attack Iran, unless he wants to start a third world war or this is another of his war mongering tactics .Peace on Earth
