Reach peace deal with Syria, attack Iran: Israeli army

JERUSALEM: Israel's defence establishment in a recommendation paper to be presented to the Cabinet has asked it to make contingency plans to attack Iran, reach a peace agreement with Syria and prevent polls in the Palestinian areas even if Tel Aviv has to confront with the US.

The paper will be presented to the Cabinet next month as part of the National Security Council's annual situation assessment, daily 'Ha'aretz' reported on Sunday.

The paper warns that Israel may find itself facing a nuclear Iran virtually alone in 2009 following a rapprochement between Washington, Tehran and the Arab world that would also undermine the Jewish state’s military superiority.
"Iran's threat to Israel's survival" is at the top of the paper's list of threats, followed by the "strategic threat" of long-range missiles and rockets owned by various countries in the region, the daily said.

Any of you U.S and Iran haters ever asked yourself why Israel wants to attack Iran? What did ever Israel do our country? Yes it has done bad things to Palestinians, but everyone in the world knows right now that the animosity between the IRI and Israel was initiated by Khomeini. So, yes, they have all the right to defend thenselves against an all out agression by the regime in Iran.

There are many many plans like this gathering dust on the shelves in every department of "defense" in every country. For example, the Pentagon has plans to attack EVERY country in the world. Having the "plan" is one thing and actually executing it is another. The main issue is what the US will tell Israel to do or not to do. Israel as usual will make a lot of noise and it will continue the routine emotional blackmailing of the Europeans and to some degree the Amerians by making crazy statements like. "all options are on the table". But everyone knows Israel is on a short leash which is held by the US. Let them bark as much as they want.
