Although I fully disagree with his central thesis, still he as an original thinker and a competent analyst.

So what SH is dead. Another over motivated under achiever who bilked Harvard out of endowment money and a dark stain on the integrity of academia is dead.

The world is a better place when morons like this are all dead and gone.

Those who were worried they would be deprived of reasons to rape a pillage the world, once the good old USSR was gone, were given a salvation gift by Huntington.  The neo-cons/bushies took his ideas, which were expressed soley in an intellectual context, and "extracted" exactly what they wanted them to mean in order to keep the Wall Street and the proverbial military industrial comlex in business as usual.
