Iran's wrestlers dominate 1st day of Takhti Cup

Iran dominated the first day of the Takhiti Cup freestyle wrestling tournament, winning 10 of the 12 medals available, including three golds.Michael Tamillow of the United States and Abdul Amaev of Uzbekistan were the only non-Iranians to medal. Each won a bronze in the 211-pound division. Tamillow lost to Rasoul Tavakolij, who went on to defeat Komeil Ghasemi in the gold-medal match.Hasan Rahimi captured the 121-pound class and Saeid Dadashpour beat Nasrollah Fadaei in the 145.5-pound division.
