You could argue the exact opposite that the Iranian regime would become even stronger if the enemy is in front and present. Now they got the entire population saying Labaik to the regime. That's more like it.

Russia and IRI are amongst those dictorian regimes who only understand the language of force and violence. The present strategy of Obama's administration is undersatood as weakness in both Iran and Russia and would make both regimes only more agressive and oppressive.
