Obama, Netanyahu bare Iran, Palestinian divides

President Barack Obama on Monday held intense first talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that laid bare differing approaches on Iran and the US goal of a Palestinian state. In blunt comments after talks that stretched past the three-hour mark, Netanyahu offered talks "immediately" with the Palestinians but stopped short of endorsing Obama's call for a two-state solution. Both leaders also dwelt on Iran, with Obama defending his diplomatic outreach strategy and an impassioned Netanyahu voicing his fears before reporters that a nuclear-armed Tehran would pose a mortal threat to Israel

You just completely changed what you were saying!

first comment:

...Palestinians are being put in the background of the world's concern.

2. Iranian regime is still the forefront of international concern.

second comment:

Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia who met with Obama and most likely emphasized the importance of settling the Israeli-Palestinian issue

They [IR mullahs] certainly can't take credit for Obama mention of the Palestinian issue.

Dear MM

Apparently you read the article after you left the first comment and realized that there is no forefront or background the way you had originally advertised.

It's all good, I am glad you finally read the article and found out what NetanYahu and President Obama spoke about.

IRANdokht - clarification

by Mehdi Mazloom on

In regards to the Palestinians, my point was made vis-a-vis Iran.

In reality, the credit should go more to Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia who met with Obama and most likely emphasized the importance of settling the Israeli-Palestinian issue. Not the Mullahs. He was echoing their opinions and recommendations, not the Mullahs. They certainly can't take credit for Obama mention of the Palestinian issue.

sorry, I did not make myself clear.

Now Obama is not a true brother

by Joe L. on

There is a category to be in that level and he aint it. I tell you something though, he wont like this Netanyahu guy pushing for his sale. Obama aint no brother but he aint bush either. If this guy not getting it Obama will throw him off his office like LeBron shooting the ball.

Iranians should be happy that Obama wont buy the shit from the old gang.

Did you even hear what was said during and after this meeting?

President Obama emphasized on the Palestinian issue and asked to stop the settlements immediately. As for Iran and the nuclear issues, he said he'd wait and see what IRI will do in the next few months.

Your comment just doesn't make sense my friend, read sometimes...

Seeing the real picture

The Akhhodah thought they are smart, by exploiting the Palestinian issue, to divert attention from their military nuclear activities. Pretend Pals agenda is in the forefront of their concern.

That trick did not work on two fronts.

1. Thanks to Hamas's utter stupidity, the Palestinians are being put in the background of the world's concern.

2. Iranian regime is still the forefront of international concern.
