Israel Holds War Games as Tension With Iran Grows

Israel's air force held a large-scale exercise simulating war on several fronts with enemies that include Iran, Israeli defense officials said Friday. The practice this week involved Israel's entire air arm and was meant to prepare for an all-out war, including missile attacks aimed at Israeli cities, the officials said. It lasted four days, ending Thursday.

As a matter of fact, Israel has not won a single war in the Middle East since 1979. One the early acts by the post-revolution Iranian government was to close the Israeli embassy in Tehran and then giving it to the Palestinian "government". Iran was not supporting Israel logistically anymore, as it had in the previous war specially the Yom Kippur.  Wars with the Palestinians don't count because they are under occupation.

Israel does not have the socio-economic depth, military maybe, to take on Iran all by itself. That's why Israel NEEDS to stay relevant by hook or crook.

Israel's biggest fear is to be left of any "grand bargain" between Iran and the US with Israel being hung out to dry. Israel's natural markets are going to be Turkey, Iraq and Iran then on to Pakistan. These countries are offering the largest markets for the Western/US goods and services to way into the future due to the overwhelming majority of 15-34 year-olds. Israel wants some of that market and Iran has been the biggest obstacle for it to penetrate those markets with the exception of Turkey that to some extend has a robust tourism and other trades with Israel.

I'm just having a hard time figuring out what benefits relations to Israel bring to Iran.

Israel can’t exist more than 48 hours, if it wasn’t for the US blood and treasure. In its 60 years history, Israel has never ever won a single war in its own. The only time US didn’t help Israel was 2 years ago with against a bunch of ragtag Hezbolah. And we all saw what humiliation that was. The key is to stop the US to be an Israeli lackey.
