by dobareh (not verified) on Sun May 31, 2009 10:25 AM PDTAll that you say about regime is accurate but the option that you propose does not exist except in theory. There are no mass boycotts, therefore a "no vote" goes for Ahmadinejad.
The idealism that you are talking about does not exist in the reality of the streets right now.
Bring an active Mossadegh in 2009 and then we talk about other options. Otherwise it's all wishful dreams that will lead to a nightmare and a wake up call of:
4 more years!
with all well due respect to Mr. Amir Entezam , Jebheh Melli seem to be trying to deal with a guilt trip of helping bring Khomeini to power and since... going to another extreme... both not in tune with reality

by nojanthegreat on Sun May 31, 2009 06:40 AM PDTthere is no doubt that Mr. Amir Entezam is one of the best diplomats and politician , one of the purest .
but I think we need to see the big picture here .
we can not fix Iran society from top to bottom we did it in 1979 and we saw the result.
DR. Mossadeg never try to abandon the majles or government in those dark days of 1930's, so why should we ?
election is one of the first steps to democracy . its elections which shook us from ourselves . and no one can denied that we have change and improved year after year . and don’t forget that lake of turn out in Shora election let Ahmadinejad come to power .
And how you can show and share your vote and idea when you don’t vote ?
We need to start working on our government from bottom to top. Fix the little thing here and there .
We didn’t vote in past 30 years , what it bring for us ?
VIVE Dr. AMIR ENTEZAM

Sag-e zard baradar-e shoghal-e
by Masoud Kazemzadeh on Sat May 30, 2009 11:43 PM PDTWe oppose BOTH Ahmadinejad and Moussavi. They are BOTH supporters of the nezam velayat faghih. We want freedom, democracy, human rights, and the rule of law democratically promulgated. Neither Ahmadinejad nor Moussavi is worth our vote. By voting for one of the candidates of the nezam, one is granting legitimacy to an illegitimate regime. A democrat should not vote for an unrepentant tyrant in a dictatorial system.
BOTH Moussavi and Ahmadinejad want to prolong the nezam velayat faghih. Their GOALS are the same. They disagree on the best way to prolong the nezam velayat faghih. In other words, Ahmadinejad and Moussavi have identical goals; they disagree on the best way to achieve their goal.
If one wants to prolong the rule of the nezam velayat faghih, then one should vote for one or the other member of the fundamentalist oligarchy. If one wants freedom, democracy, human rights, then the FIRST step is to replace the nezam velayat faghih with a system with a democratic constitution. In other words, the goal of a democrat is different than the goal of a fundamentalist. We want free and democratic elections whereby the Iranian people can vote for whomever they so desire. The fundamentalists want to maintain the ruling fundamentalist tyranny.
Ahmadinejad and Moussavi are BOTH brutal dictators. Moussavi is a top member of the fundamentalist oligarchy. Moussavi even brings the notion of kofr to the discourse of changing the dictatorial features of the velayat faghih constitution. Moussavi’s mindset is a genocidal mindset. Soroush has now revealed that Moussavi was the prime mover who advocated the use of massive violence during the attacks on the universities in 1980. Moussavi LIED about his role in the violence and repression against professors and students in the violent bloody purges of the universities. What this shows is that Moussavi is not only a brutal tyrant, but a charlatan who is hiding the truth in order to fool naive people.
Americans have a saying "peas in the same pod." Moussavi and Ahmadinejad and Khalkhali and Khomeini and Khamenei are all peas in the same pod.
We need to move beyond a bunch of reactionary brutal bloodthirsty dictators. Iran is a nation of Sattar Khan, Mossadegh, Dehkhoda, Ferdowsi, Kuroush bozorg, and.... It is 2009, we deserve someone like Mossadegh. We do not deserve someone like Sheikh Fazlollah Nouri, or Khomeini or other reactionaries.
No more reactionary this or reactionary that. We want democrats and azadi-khah. Is this too hard for you to understand???????
