US revives talk of Iran-Taliban ties

Since the early to mid-1990s, Iranian policy in Afghanistan has been more consistently and firmly opposed to the Taliban than that of the United States.

The Obama administration thus appears to be pressing that charge as a means of increasing political-diplomatic pressure on Iran over its nuclear program, despite NATO's need for Iranian help on Afghanistan.

United States Central Command chief General David Petraeus declared in testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee on April 1, "In Afghanistan, Iran appears to have hedged its longstanding public support for the [President Hamid] Karzai government by providing opportunistic support to the Taliban."

Ostaad, why do you lose it when someone criticizes IRI?

by Farhad Kashani on

Ostaad,

You’re more delusional than I thought.

I’ll start with your last question. Cite a single case when Iranians called for the destruction of Israel or for it to be wiped off the map? Cite a single case when Iranians are willing for their country to pay the heaviest price in the name of anti Israelism?

The main point: I condemn what Israel is doing to Palestinians and its occupation of Arab land. Always have and always will. But you can only dream about the day that Iranians like me, whom are the vast majority of Iranians, will ever fall into IRIs trap to make this about Israel and not itself. You can only dream about the day that Iranians will help IRI divert attention from itself to Israel. You can only dream about the day that Iranians will approve for our country to pay the price of IRIs fundamentalist blind Israelism and anti Semitism. You can only dream about the day that Iranians will approve IRIs call for the destruction of a sovereign nation, no matter how bad its government is (cause if we set that as the rule, the world should be asking for Iran to be wiped off the map since we have the worst possible government!), and a country that has nothing wrong to Iranians no less!

So keep dreaming.

Farhad, why do you loose it when someone criticizes Israel?!

For a starter, there are a lot of people who love the US, warts and all, but oppose the war criminals, right wing nutjubs and their policy of Apartheid promulgated in Zionistan. I firmly belong to that group. You seem to be unable to discern the vast difference between these two countries and keep putting the US and Zionistan in the same category! I'm not sure how long you've been inflicted with this myopia but I'm sure even you can regain your bearings someday.

PS - Can you cite a SINGLE case when the Iranian people, whom you seem to count yourself one of them, EVER supported your beloved Israel?

Shah Gholam,

You have proved to be the embodiment of ignorance and discrimination by supporting a murderous, fanatic and illegitimate dying regime.

Your kind, the brainwashed Socialist anti American pro Fascism type, is shrinking by the second.  And you come on this site posting some delusional analyses from delusional leftist anti American clueless people thinking that will save your Fascist IRI regime? Have you ever thought how did IRIs propaganda help them in the past 30 years? The Iranian people gave a big NO to it after 30 years of blind anti American, anti Israeli propaganda. What are you trying to do? You get satisfaction off pissing people off here? That’s not happening either.

So, post all you want, just remember, Iranians will not forget who stood by them and who abandoned them. We know who you are Shah Gholam or smhb or whatever the hell you call yourself. Just keep that in mind.

I read your comment on about "Westernization" Vs. " Westixification". I agree with you that "Westixification" is a correct reference. However, on the general discussion as to what Jalal Ale Ahmad meant by his book, I need to refresh my recollection of his book. So, give me a chance to revisit his book which I read years ago and do not have it at my disposal at the moment.

Regards

This is more desperate than IRI saying

that Bahai-run BBC conspired in the death of Neda Agha Soltani so they could make a propaganda documentary?
