امروزه جامعه ایران و نیروهای طرفدار جمهوری اسلامی دچار اختلافات شده است. خانواده انقلاب را تهمت باران می کنند. عده ای به برخی از اعضای این خانواده منافقین جدید لقب می دهند. عده ای دیگر بخشی از این خانواده را به عنوان خوارج لقب می دهند. آیا این یک توطئه نیست که نیروهای طرفدار نظام را به جان هم بیاندازند و یک فروپاشی درونی صورت بدهند؟ من معتقدم پشت سر این فتنه یک توطئه است. در اوج اقتدار جمهوری اسلامی در داخل ایران و منطقه و در زمانی که دولت بوش و صهیونیستها نتوانستند از طریق جنگ و تحریم به تنهایی کاری انجام دهند، به فکر انفجار از داخل افتادند تا با کمک آن ایران را ابتدا ضعیف سازند و سپس با کمک تحریم های جدید و احیاناً حمله از بیرون ایران را تسلیم کنند. مهم ترین ابزار توطئه گران در ایجاد فتنه استفاده از جهالت برخی و احساسات برخی دیگر است. درضمن تقویت انحرافات دراین میان نقش مهمی ایفا می کند. تاثیر اشتباه کاری های جاهلانه و برو... >>>

Interesting that he admits that the regime has been a failure and that is has been spewing poison, yet somehow and for some reason he still believes that it deserves to be saved.  He does a fair job of bringing out the isolation of the regime, even going as far as admitting that they are now being referred to as foreigners and "monafeghin".  He cannot, however, resist from apportioning blame on the real foreigners (presumably the Americans, Brits and Israelis).  He is essentially suggesting that the pillars of the regime need to unite or else the end of the IRI is near.  It will be interesting to hear what Rafsanjani has to say on this subject on Friday.  It may be that they are so fearful that they have struck a deal to resolve their differences behind closed doors (how else would he be given permission to speak?).  I am not sure that anything that the IRI does at this point will make a difference in the final outcome, which is its demise.

to read the comments posted on Rezaie's site about his communique. There's a lot to learn.

Here's one:

مصلحت نظام نیست؟ کروبی چطور؟ این نظام کیست و چیست که همه ایران باید
فدای آن شوند؟ نظام اگر اینها نیستند، حتما احمدی نژاد و مصباح یزدی است.
ما که در این کلاف سردرگم مبهوت مانده ایم. نظام کیست و چیست؟ این را
تعریف کنید تا تکلیف معلوم شود.

Your short answer: No.

Why?

Well, I read opposition's (such as yourself) writings on this forum and decipher lack of tolerance for opposing views in addition to lack of understanding Iran's history, AND to relying too much on the same foreign powers that brought missery and dispare to our motherland since 1953 and before that time. I tell myself, what we have in Iran is not what we deserve, we deserve a lot better, but these so called opposition ( clowns ) to replace them? No way.

It is a travesty to call anyone associated with the IRI a patriot!  What kind of patriot participates in raping and pillaging a country for 30 years, bringing it to its knees?!  He is essentially admitting that the system has failed its people but somehow he wants to keep the structure intact. Great Voice From a Great Patriot

After reading his letter, I am proud of myself for having voted for him as Iran's president. He did not have the votes, but I am sure his presence in the outskirts of Iran's revolution is as valuable as his presence in its center.

He is a great patriot who really understand the dynamic of issues and the opportunities and problems that Iran faces.  No wonder he is a member of many of Iran's revolutionary organs.
