Iran

's Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki calls on Baghdad to extradite the wanted members of the Mojahedin-e Khalgh Organization (MKO).

In a meeting on Monday with the Iraqi ambassador to Iran Majid Sheikh, Mottaki said that considering the friendly relations between Tehran and Baghdad, the presence of the terrorist camp in Iraq was not appropriate.

The foreign minister said that there were criminals in the MKO who were wanted by Interpol, urging the Iraqi government to extradite such terrorists to Iran.

Ready for a different kind of show trial?

Even when all else fails, my operative at press tv in the photo department always wins the day. Please note Motaki looks like a snarling old dog. N's not that the photo editor loves MKO, it's that this is such a golden opportunity for IRI to garner support among the waivering. Suddenly show trials will be a good thing, all Opposition will be a bad thing, and ties galore between Mousavi and Maryam Rajavi will emerge, possibly even a tryst. . I have a feeling that if Iraq extradites these people, you will see photos of the spokespeople for these trials looking like rabid hyenas. Press TV has a very large photo archive. I just can't wait.
