What's With Iran?

As a former U.S. national security official, I have been straining — along with many fellow Americans — to understand the Iranian nuclear puzzle. What is really going on with Iran? While it is difficult to know exactly what or whom to believe, we can try to connect the dots of recent news reports and put forth several hypotheses.

1. The Pittsburgh Gambit. President Obama’s press conference with French President Nicolas Sarkozy and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown at the G-20 summit raised the stakes by revealing a new enrichment facility at Qum and then calling for tougher sanctions if Iran still fails to abide by its obligations under the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

This was a rhetorical shift for Mr. Obama, who has been experimenting with unconditional engagement. To be sure, he has also been talking about a mix of “bigger sticks and bigger carrots.”

Let me give you an advice for your own sake. From all existing oppositions today against IRI, there is one that Iranians from all walks of life inside and outside of Iran hate with passion and that is MKO and all its members. This is not my personal opinion but there has been a massive research done on this by US intel. and many other Western media.

The reason is very simple, MKO made a strategic mistake to become Saddam the mad man's right hand againt Iranians actively killing Iranian troops in the fronts and using its facilities to pass on intelligence not only to Saddam but also to The US and Israel which let to a lot more Iranian soldiers death, not to mention innocent civilians.

MKO members are not Iranian and rightly so. They turned their back against their own people when Iranians needed them the most. They have turned into bunch of disillusioned Gipsy's that even their paymasters don't want to have much to do with them. in fact, that is why the US passed them onto Iraqi government to get rid of them. Traitors must be treated that way. After all, they (US et al) must be thinking if you truned your back to your own people how long would it be before they get shafted too!!!

So they used you guys as a Cheap Tool as they still are (by having you spying againt Iran) knowing too well that the real boss to deal with is in Tehran and you are just "a hair in the IRI nore" if you like that analogy.

So, if I were you I would abstain from splashing Iranians anything to do with MKO. You are wasting yourself! But you do what you want to do I am sure....!

My two cents!
