Auschwitz survivor: ‘Israel acts like Nazis’

One of the last remaining Auschwitz survivors has launched a blistering
attack on Israel over its occupation of Palestine as he began a lecture
tour of Scotland.

Dr Hajo Meyer, 86, who survived 10 months in the Nazi death camp,
spoke out as his 10-day tour of the UK and Ireland – taking in three
Scottish venues – got under way. His comments sparked a furious
reaction from hardline Jewish lobby groups, with Dr Meyer branded an
“anti-Semite” and accused of abusing his position as a Holocaust
survivor.

Dr Meyer also attended hearings at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on
Thursday, where five pro-Palestine campaigners are accused of racially
aggravated conduct after disrupting a concert by the Jerusalem Quartet
at the city’s Queen’s Hall.

Speaking as his tour got under way, Dr Meyer said there were
parallels between the treatment of Jews by Germans in the Second World
War and the current treatment of Palestinians by Israelis.

He said: “The Israelis tried to dehumanise the Palestinians, just
like the Nazis tried to dehumanise me. Nobody should dehumanise any
other and those who try to dehumanise another are not human.

“It may be that Israel is not the most cruel country in the world …
but one thing I know for sure is that Israel is the world champion in
pretending to be civilised and cultured.”

Dr Meyer was born in 1924 in B... >>>

AsteroidX, our buddy Gholam just spilled the beans

by Anonymous Observer on

see, the only person on this site who ever spelled Gholam with two L's was "Shah Gholam" himself.  For example, see here:

 //iranian.com/main/news/2009/11/05/iranians-burn-u-s-flags-cheer-79-embassy-takeover

Everyone else spelled it with one "L", including you and I on this thread.  But in his retort, where he is claiming not to be Gholam, he spells Gholam with two "L's", just like the original Gholam himself (and this is despite the fact that he claims not to have known or heard of Gholam). This is part of his quote: "You bring up Gholi, Ghollam and Shah Ghollam...".  Our friend, in his haste to deny being the blocked Ghollam, spilled the beans.  But we always knew he was a liar, so nothing is new.

BTW, you know why he spells Gholam with two "L's"?  Because he's not Iranian and his mother tongue is Arabic.  Gholam is pronounced "Ghollam", with two "L's" (tashdid on the L" in Arabic. :-))

Wondering why you repeat the mistranslation of AN about Israel and Holocaust?

Iranian regime and its supporters will go on and deny the Holocaust. But one does not need to shut his/her eyes to the fact that such an awful and unholy event did take place.

Even Germans do not deny it but then little president of Iran who stole the election would make such a criminal and evil comments. He can disgree with Israel about policies, but why does he have to deny the Holocaust?

For those who says Ahmadinejad did not deny the Holocaust

The following text is from the official site of Ahmadinejad:

"The pretext for establishing the Zionist regime is a lie; a lie which relies on an unreliable claim, a mythical claim, and the occupation of Palestine has nothing to do with the Holocaust."

An English version, summary in fact:

//www.president.ir/en/?ArtID=17832

Persian version:

//www.president.ir/fa/?ArtID=17819

Let's hope there is not more problem with translation, as they are from the official site of the president of Iran!

This shows the similarity between Antarinejad and Goebbels - if you tell a big enough lie often enough, there will be those who believe it.

"President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said here Friday that the Holocaust black box should be opened.
Addressing Tehrani Friday prayers worshipers as pre-sermon lecturer, President Ahmadinejad said, Our call over the past four years has been if the Holocaust claimed by the Zionist regime and its allies is true, why they (Zionists and westerners) do not allow any research on it?
"

There are few historical events that have been more deeply researched than the Holocaust, and here we have Antari insisting that it is a black box - a lie made up by Western powers. The bigger the lie, the more people will believe it.

One of the smartest things that Eisenhower ever did was to insist on making sure that photographic evidence was made of what was found at the concentration camps.

Who is doing the misinformation and propaganda Mehrdad?

Gholi

I give (Gollam) him a lot of credit.

That does not surprise me at all! Ofcourse he hated Israel didn’t he? Never said a word about what is wrong with Iran but “its all US/Esrael’s fault”. And he is blocked for cursing everyone under the sun as “Zionist” and is being treated right now for Tourettes.

“ZIONIST!!!” twitch twitch  “ZIONIST!!!” “ZIONIST!!!” …

In spite the fact that you two keep claiming you are have no connection to Israel and actually don't give a hoot about Israel, it is impressivelly difficult to miss that you both (and a handful of other like minded members) never miss a post that involves Israel. I am just wondering why?

BECAUSE IT IS IRI PROPOGANDA AND DEFLECTING FROM IRAN’S MORE IMPORTANT INTERNAL ISSUES. But don't worry, this is not the first time I have been accused of being a "spy" or "agent" of some sort. I can deal with BS that is thrown at me.

In any court of law it is called "guilty before proven innocent".

SO, we should have waited for Nazi Germany and the rhetoric to go on and on UNTIL they attacked. Is see.

We have already seen the disastrous consequences of International vigilantly wars. Such as illigal Iraq invasion where at least a million were killed and perhaps the same number wounded and a country destroyed for some baseless accusations.

I agree with that , so are you saying we want war??? You are throwing wild accusations around.

You are defending the exact same process following to Iraq attack except this time it is Iran. The scenario involved mass public decimation of misinformation and disinformation.

Total rubbish. So you are saying we should sit silent while we see IRI murdering ANY person who criticizes it?

Now Astroid, I believe no true Iranian will accept the garbage that is being floated around in the main stream media

Yes, I suppose the ones like you do not. But the rest of us like to see what is out there and make up our own minds.

you are not an Iranian, that is why you have no limit in promoting "Iranian killing grounds". Unlike you, most of us here have families in Iran (if nothing else) that we do not wish to be harmed in any way and shape regardless of our political differences!!!!!!

Matey we all have families in Iran, but some of us and some people in Iran (some already murdered by IRI) are BRAVE enough to stand up for what is right. The ones whose morals do not fly out of the window on the offer of a pay cheque. Now go play with your paper planes.

You know that I have no love for AN, just the opposite, and this is not in defense of him but rather to point out that your misinformation and propaganda does not serve you in the positive way. If you want your words to be taken credibly, you need to earn it and this is not the way to do it.

Also you say: "I say NONE OF OUR BUSINESS. We have our own problems, our own people being murdered and oppressed by Islamists" and I like to ask you why you are so obsessed with defending Israel if only Iran should be your business

we should respect the "intellectual" discussion on this site.  We should learn from you (wait a minute...weren't you blocked from this site for bad behavior?).  You engage in respectful discussions, like you do here, when someone asks you a legitimate question and your response...well, it's for everyone to see:

 //iranian.com/main/news/2010/01/26/book-john-paul-ii-used-belt-whip-himself

Or here, when you call me everything under the sun just because I made a comment that disagreed with you:

 //iranian.com/main/news/2010/01/24/israeli-college-student-removed-bus-speaking-her-language

And buddy, ALL of your posts are about the subject of your obsession Israel, and you spam this site with posts like you have computer diarrhea.   if we wanted to respond to everything that you post about Israel, we have to do nothing else in our lives and sit behind the computer...like you do with your never ending propaganda.

A few points about you two, just an observation!

- You bring up Gholi, Ghollam and Shah Ghollam as the ex member here at IC and repeatedly call me by that name. I do not know what he has done to you two and some others here, but I give him a lot of credit. He must have done an excellent job in handling you guys that you both still shiver by his shear shadow down to your spines.

I take my hat off to him. I promise, since he was so brilliant, to study his posts at IC to learn a thing or two!

-This is a virtual space, what that means is that people are faceless and
mostely take an avatar to appear here. There no telling of who you two
were before you assumed your current avatars. For all practical purposes you two
could have been changing avatars multiple times, not possible you say? Any how, the bottom line is what these avatars say and present opinions as exchange of ideas here. You two can respect this intellectual space and join and share intellectual exchanges or leave others alone by pesting, harassing, call naming, and so forth. Otherwise Ione can have only one conclusion, you have nothingto bring to the table!!!!! Am I clear on that?

- In spite the fact that you two keep claiming you are have no connection to Israel and actually don't give a hoot about Israel, it is impressivelly difficult to miss that you both (and a handful of other like minded members) never miss a post that involves Israel. I am just wondering why?

Israel is not threateneing Iran. Israel is acting because there
is a lunatic regime threatening to wipe it out and it does not want it
to go nuclear (weapons).

In any court of law it is called "guilty before proven innocent". Ironiocally you are constantly yelling IRI in harming its citizens of , among other things, Litigation Without representation! Not only me but a good number of readers probably wonder how you can justify one but not the other using the same logic!

We have already seen the disastrous consequences of International vigilantly wars. Such as illigal Iraq invasion where at least a million were killed and perhaps the same number wounded and a country destroyed for some baseless accusations.

You are defending the exact same process following to Iraq attack except this time it is Iran. The scenario involved mass public decimation of misinformation and disinformation. Much than Iran, Iraq's population were mostely against their regime and the US, British and Israelis made the most of their shear lies and invaded Iraq to bring "freedom and democracy" to Iraqis. Iraq without question would have been better left alone for Iraqis since what they got out of the invasion is two million killed and wounded, a devastated economy, more than a couple of million migrated,a destroyed country that has lost its national independence  while still killings continues en mass inspite the fact that the US is still in Iraq with a large force and a new Iraqi army of at least a couple of hundered thousands has been formed. So mjuch for promises of "freedom and democracy" in spite of an unperecedented cost!

Iranians have to show their historic intelligence here by reconizing the evil that is planned and not fall for "sweet words" that will ultimately bring a catastrophe to Iran that would make Iraq invasion and aftermath look like a child's play.

Now Astroid, I believe no true Iranian (regardless of what political orientation) will accept the garbage that is being floated around in the main stream media and as you vehimently support and propagate here at Iranian.com. That is Iran is building an atomic bomb (not that having it is a crime) and it will use it to create another Jewish holocaust and as such Iran must be stopped by any possible means including invasion and even nuclear attack.

But between you and I, I have a strong belief that you are not Iranian. My accepeted limits for you (as far being an Iranian is concerned) is that perhaps you have a "shade" of Iranian but you are not an Iranian, that is why you have no limit in promoting "Iranian killing grounds". Unlike you, most of us here have families in Iran (if nothing else) that we do not wish to be harmed in any way and shape regardless of our political differences!!!!!!

don't worry about him catching you in Iran.  He has never been there, and he will never be there in the future.  He doesn't even speak the language.  South Lebanon, on the other hand, is a different story.  You, and me for that matter, should stay out of that place.  Gholi will be waiting for us there on the back of a jeep with an RPG!!

and yes, I did see the Pope thing.  Who knows why he did it.  May be that he wants to show that the mullahs are not the only crazy religious basket cases.

There is a good reason why it is not saying anything new – because these are the facts that are true. Ahmadinejad has threatened to wipe out Israel/ Zionist regime. He has said the Holocaust is a myth! The Holocaust is the most researched event on the planet and this meymoon , the leader and representative of our country demands an investigation into it! I do not agree with his manipulation of the Holocaust as a policy.

Israel is not threateneing Iran. Israel is acting because there is a lunatic regime threatening to wipe it out and it does not want it to go nuclear (weapons). Even as an Iranian I can see that Gholi. You have to be impartial to see the truth , not just be “loyal” to Iran and its propoganda. Now you talk about Palestine again , and I say NONE OF OUR BUSINESS. We have our own problems, our own people being murdered and oppressed by Islamists.

But I am sure you have been told this many times before and you will insist that Israel is "out of the blue" threatening Iran. Lets agree to disagree.

Thanks Astroid

by IranMilitaryForum.net on

But the article is not saying anything new that we do not see day in and day out on almost every US mainstream media outlet. Read the following again:

“Never again ignore bloodthirsty dictators, hiding behind demagogical masks,
who utter murderous slogans.”

At a memorial event in Cracow, the Polish city near Auschwitz, Meir Lau, the
Chief Rabbi of Tel Aviv who was saved from the gas chamber aged seven, when
his mother shoved him into a different queue said that President Ahmadinejad
of Iran was “threatening the very existence of a neighbour”.

“I see the headlines every day,” Rabbi Lau told
The Times.
“Within two years he will have an atomic weapon, so it means there is a
threat.”

The message is clearly what the israeli Aparthied regime wishes to convery, that is, "Bomb, Bomb, Iran".

In that justice court, you are guilty before proven

On another note, the statement President Ahmadinejad
of Iran was “threatening the very existence of a neighbour”
has been true for Israel since its creation. Palestine has already been destroyed and the existance of Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and even Syria have been repeatedly been threatenened by repeated Israeli military attacks or subversions.

I am sure that holocaust survivor was told not to mention anything of that sort before comming to the podium.
