Richard Haass
Richard Haass is president of the Council on
Foreign Relations, a position he has held since
July 2003. The Council on Foreign Relations
describes itself as “an independent,
nonpartisan membership organization, think
tank, and publisher dedicated to being a
resource for its members, government
officials, business executives, journalists,
educators and students, civic and religious
leaders, and other interested citizens in order
to help them better understand the world and
the foreign policy choices facing the United
States and other countries.”
Bret Stephens
Bret Stephens is the deputy editor of the editorial
page of The Wall Street Journal.
Mr. Stephens writes the Journal's "Global View"
column on foreign affairs, which runs every Tuesday
in the U.S. and is also published in the European
and Asian editions of the paper. He previously
worked for the paper as an op-ed editor in New
York and as an editorial writer in Brussels for The
Wall Street Journal Europe.
