As Thomas Dolder and Mario Fedeli gathered luggage, equipment and other gear on Thursday morning, they knew they were about to embark on a “dream of a lifetime.”

The two men, both pilots and aviation business owners in New Bern, boarded a single-engine 2007 Cessna 182T to begin a trans-Atlantic flight to Switzerland, a journey that will cover 4,851 nautical miles over the next week.

There has been many cross

There has been many cross Atlantic trips from N. America to Europe in small planes. I dream of one day flying my plane (home build RV-7A) home one day. Of course we would need to wait for a friendly regime in Iran first.
