ایران 'اولین مصرف کننده مواد مخدر در جهان'

به گفته سرگرد محمد شیری فرای، رئیس اداره آموزش همگانی نیروی انتظامی در آذربایجان شرقی ایران نسبت به جمعیت اش، در حال حاضر اولین مصرف کننده مواد مخدر در جهان است.

اعتیاد و مبارزه با مواد مخدر از جمله مباحثی است که مدام مسئولان در ایران نسبت به آن هشدار می دهند. از سوی دیگر بنابر گزارش سال 2008 دفتر کنترل مواد و جرایم سازمان ملل متحد، نزدیک به سه درصد جمعیت 15 تا 64 سال ایران مواد مخدر مصرف می کنند که این مصرف بالاترین میزان مصرف مواد مخدر در جهان است.

بسیاری از کارشناسان مواد مخدر معتقدند در سالهای اخیر مصرف آسان، دسترسی راحت و ارزان مواد مخدر صنعتی مانند اکس، شیشه و ال. اس. دی. جایگزین مواد مخدر سنتی مانند تریاک شده است.

هادی شاکر، روانپزشک، در گفت و گو با بخش فارسی بی بی سی در باره دلایل افزایش مصرف مواد مخدر گفت: "اکثر کسانی که مواد مخدر استفاده می کنند معتقدند که به آن معتاد نمی شو... >>>

did you read the piece?  If you had done so, you would have realized that the report is quoting Iran's own law enforcement officials.  This means that you actually go beyond the IRI in your propaganda efforts.

by far US has the biggest appetite for elicit drugs, to the point 25000 killed in drug war in Mexico.

it is a $400 billion dollar business in US alone. how Iran could be the biggest user with only $750 billion in  GDP?
