President Obama’s hope that moderate Muslims would eagerly accept his invitation to be friends has not materialized yet.  Even Turkey which is regarded as the most moderate Muslim country can no longer be relied on to move towards the West. The advance of the radical Islam is the result of active propaganda campaign. According to the CIA report written in 2003, the Saudis invested at least $2 billion a year over 30 year period to spread their brand of fundamentalist Islam.

It seems Ms. Hirsi Ali presents a gloomy outlook about Islam and the possibility of rehabilitation of Islamic fundamentalism. This is in fact in contrast with the popular view of Reza Aslan so eloquently discussed in his latest book;
