Minister: Iran, China to Sign Deal on Major Railway Project in September

Iranian Minister of Roads and Transportation Hamid Behbahani announced that Iran and China are schedule to sign a final deal in mid September on the construction of a multi-billion-dollar railway line linking Iran's western provinces.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of an exhibition of the ministry's achievements here in Tehran on Sunday, Behbahani said that the final contract for the construction of Iran's Western Railway Network will be inked on September 12.
