Mohammad Mostafaei said he was pleased his wife and 7-year-old daughter were allowed to travel to Norway on tourist visas.
In August, the 31-year-old lawyer fled to Turkey then Norway after learning Iranian officials intended to arrest him. He has said he is seeking asylum in Norway, but still hopes officials in Iran will allow him to return to his practice.
Mostafaei's wife, Fereshteh, said Thursday that she was "really happy" to join her husband in Norway. But she said she was "very worried about the future" and unsure how long the family will stay in Norway.
"We have no plan right now," she said.

by yolanda on Thu Sep 02, 2010 02:27 PM PDTThank you for posting this great video.........I am hungry for good news.....lately too much bad news something like 2 more people got sentenced for stoning.....secret mass executions in Mashad......mock execution of Ashtiani.......Israel wants to bomb Iran...karoubi's home got vandalized....... more sanctions from different countries.....
Only one piece of good news is that an Iranian weightlifter won a gold medal at Youth Olympic Games in Singapore....
The laywer got a beautiful family......everyone is good looking....the wife is beautiful, cheerful, modern, and eloquent.....the daughter is pretty with huge eyes and dimples....hopefully they will never be separated again......
It is hard to imagine that not long ago that IRI threw the lawyer's wifey and brother-in-law into Evin as hostages......
More good news like this please!!!!!!!!!!
This video made my day!
Thank you Norway
by David ET on Thu Sep 02, 2010 02:20 PM PDTA word of thanks to People and government of Norway for giving this caring family a new home.
Hopefully one day soon, Iranians not only do not be force their best of their homeland but open arms to others who are victims of terrorist regimes such as IR.
Also word of thanks to Amnesty International especially Drewery Dyke , UN and so many others who helped save this family from the monsters of the Islamic military regime in Iran.
Wishing for the day that all Iranian families live happily in a free, fair , friendly and democratic secular Iran.
