Iran intercepts mock intruders in air drill

Iranian forces scrambled warplanes in response to six separate mock intrusions by enemy aircraft during air defence drills this week, the spokesman for the exercise was quoted as saying on Wednesday.

"General Hamid Arjangi said... that Iranian forces have identified the mock intrusion of six 'unknown planes,' into the country's airspace" on Tuesday as part of the scenario for the five-day manoeuvres, the website of Iran's English-language Press TV reported.
