Iran - Hardliners Threaten to Ruin Esther HaMalka's Tomb

A group of Islamists demonstrated on Sunday at the tomb of biblical Jewish queen Esther in western Iran and threatened to destroy it if Israel damages Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem, Mehr news agency reported.

The agency identified the demonstrators at one of the most revered sites for Iranian Jews as members of the student basij, or hardline Islamist militia, at Bu-Ali-Sina university of Hamedan.

The Iranian Jewish Public Affairs Committee has issued a  5 point letter of protest stating that the historical and cultural  sites and treasures of Iran belong to the entire people of Iran and the entire world to honor, enjoy and cherish. No one has the right to touch or alter or change these sites. The committee also draw a parallel between this event and the Taliban destroying Buddhist statue in Afghanistan.

This is a small tomb and it was attacked for destruction before, during Qajar I think.

These kind of "demonstrators" are everywhere like when they protest in front of UK embassy or other places "threatening".  This place is actually in the middle of Hamedan's baazar now!  Right next to stores selling refrigerators and hot water heaters!

The criminal and true Islamic act that the Talibans did to the Bamiyan Buddhas comes to mind after reading this tidbit. These creatuures have no value for anything other than their own twisted "belief" system, and even that is up for debate given the right "price".
