India and Iran Sanctions

Last Monday, India's central bank banned local companies from doing business with the United Nations' Asian Clearing Union—a clear slap at Tehran, which uses the opaque organization to evade U.N. and U.S. sanctions. Delhi didn't cite that as the reason for its actions; its statement noted only "difficulties" in payments and receipts. But Iran reacted a day later by refusing to sell oil to India, which means the mullahs got the message.

Terrorist regime losing grip on Indian market :)

by Simorgh5555 on

Good to see the terrorist regime encountering difficulties selling crude oil to India. It appears that India and hopefully other countries in the East will get the massge and isolate the IR terrorists. There should be unyielding pressure on India to refuse to buy any commodities from the terrorist regime no matter what currency they are trading with. The US should offer India offered an alternative country to buy its crude oil from as a reward ofr shunning trade with terrorists. A positive development for now. things are looking up.

I've never seen white robes and burning crosses in my entire life.

And I can hardly be described as "Islamist" or "terrorist." What I can be described as is a peace activist.

I'm unclear as to why you continue to bring up the embassy takeover. Who am I to offer a condemnation? I'm not an official of any kind. I can tell you this: as an ordinary person, it surely isn't something I would have engaged in.

I sense immigration to the US may have been your first choice but for some reason it was Britain your family selected as the final point in your "cut and run" from Iran. I guess I should feel sorry for you: California is by a far a better destination. :)

Re: 'anti-Iranian' cheerleading' - Ta cheshmet kur

I haven't experienced any of the incidents you have described. Let me assure you, the UK is full of Islamists and apologists of terrorists just like you. If the UK had half xenophobic people you seem to think there are then you will be the first to be sent packing.

They pander to your every whim here. I would like to resettle in the USA but then I's scared of men in white outfits burning crosses, calling me the N-word or 'mud'. I'm scared if my house is submerged in water as a result of a hurricane the government wouldnot render any assistance because of the colour of my skin. Racism happens everywhere.

P.S. If I ever want to re-settle in the USA, I will approach a real American not a phoney with allegiances to terrorists who after 33 years still cannot bring himself to condemn the takeover of the AMERICAN embassy and the hostage taking of her citizens.

More anti-Iran cheerleading

by Sargord Pirouz on

More anti-Iran cheerleading from someone I can only describe as self-hating.

I wonder how much of this behavior can be explained by the anti-foreigner social environment that exists in Britain, particularly among the ultra-nationalists.

You should have settled in the US, Simorgh. True, you'd still only be semi-accepted. But there aren't anti-Paki, anti-Wog demonstrations over here. We're more mature and sure of ourselves here in the good ol' USA.
