Hi! Comrade,

LOL! "your cactus never pricked me!".........well, some of the cacti are thornless and spineless!

******************

Now back to the serious discussion.....I am saddened to hear Kurds' plight....several years ago......I was watching "Jeopardy" on TV......the question was that:

What is the biggest ethnic group in the world without a country?

The answer is:

35 million kurds!

You wrote that:

.....they (kurds) were kept economically destitute and politically suppressed during the dictatorial reign of the Shah.

Are you sure IRI treat Kurds better than Shah?......one Kurdish guy, Khezeri, just got executed on Saturday, yesterday....there are at least 14 kurds on death row now:

Zeinab Jalilian, Shirkoo Moarefi, Rostam Arkia, Mostafa Salimi, Anvar Rostami, Rashid Akhkandi, Mohammad Amin Agooshi, Ahmad Pooladkhani, Seyed Sami Husseini, Seyed Jamal Mohammadi, Hasan Talei, Iraj Mohammadi, Mohammad Amin Abdollahi and Ghader Mohammadzadeh.

****************

There are different types of dictators in the world.......like Khamenei, Kim Jung Il, Mao Tze Tung, Khomeini, Tito, the Saudi family........both Mao and Kim have at least 4 wives each........I believe they are pretty decadent.....I heard Mao has an army of illegitimate children........I have not seen a single fat North Korean.....I guess it is because they have food rationing over there.....but every family member of Kim Jung Il is fat: Kim himself, his successor son, half brother of the successor, his dad.....apparently the food rationing does not apply to the Kim Jung Il's family.......I also heard that Kim Jung Il watched a lot of Hollywood movies if not all the Hollywood movies.......but the N Korean people are deprived of everything....both China and N. Korea practice apotheosis and personality cult......I think communism is not a very good idea.

*********************

Thank you so much for posting the photos....thank you for your post...I deeply appreciate it........I hope Kurds can have better lives......I also hope all the minorities can have better lives including Baluchis, Uyghurs, Tibetans, American Indians.....

Thank you!!!

Your touching effort palpitated my patriotic heart!

The first five photos from the top show Iranian Kurds(and their birds!) in their heartland. I lived there for a while many years ago, and witnessed first-hand how they were kept economically destitute and politically suppressed during the dictatorial reign of the Shah.

It is an inexcusable and regrettable fact that the end of the Cold War has so far failed to bring about the desired conditions which could have otherwise provided them self-governance within Iran, and prosperity.

I wish you will enjoy the rest of your Sunday too.

BTW, your cactus never pricked me!

Never increase, beyond what is necessary, the number of entities required to explain anything.
