Not Bad for a Former Republic turned into Regressive Monarchy
by Darius Kadivar on Wed Apr 14, 2010 02:14 AM PDTThe Dutch Republic — officially known as the Republic of the Seven United Netherlands (Republiek der Zeven Verenigde Nederlanden), the Republic of the United Netherlands, or the Republic of the Seven United Provinces (Republiek der Zeven Verenigde Provinciën) — was a republic in Europe existing from 1581 to 1795, preceding the modern Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Beautiful share
by Monda on Mon Apr 12, 2010 07:48 PM PDTFaranak jan, there are some really interesting scenes captured in this album. For example, what was the rooster doing inside the cheese factory?! or Hollandaise sauce on rolled meat?! The instrument in that street musician's hands (I think it was in 52)? ... Interesting place. I never understood why my Dutch friends like it here so well!
JJ, i'm disappointed in your tunnel vision
by iran_zameen on Mon Apr 12, 2010 07:42 PM PDTLast month Mr JJ wrote an article about the benefits and ease of obtaiinig legal marijuana for medical use.
WHile such drugs do help with some chronic disease cases, they also have a downside which is mainly fatigue and lack of interest in many worldy things.
I am very disappointed that Mr JJ has not pursued acupuncture treatment which has a 3000 yr history and is a result of decades of experimental research from scientists and healers from OUR part of the world.
Use of drugs and hallucigenics was prominent amongst Africans, South Americans which was adopted by Western medicine to produce legal drugs such as morphine and Oxycontin.
Several years ago the AMA accepted acupunture as a tested and acceptable modality for treatment of ailments.
Mr JJ should in all consciousness sit down and think of human history and progress and ask himself: which people on the face of the planet has been pioneers in scientific achievements over the course of human history? Was it Africans or Asians?
Political correctness aside, Africans unfortunately has made insignificant contributions to medicine. Their solutions to ailments was to try and smoke this leaf or that plant until a feeling of hallucination and sedation would over take them.
I sincerely hope that prior to your trip to go on a "trip" in Amersterdam, Mr JJ seeks a highly skilled acupunturist in the greater california area. With its emphasis on "whole body" treatment as well as localized treatment, acupuncture would not only rejuvenate your life but also de-toxify your body from all the smoke and junk that has built up in your body- whether from food or inhaled products.
When I do get a chance, I will perhaps take photos of me undergoing acupuncture even though it is really nothing that interesting
yours truly
