Dear Mr Javid
by Cost-of-Progress on Tue May 25, 2010 12:18 PM PDTThis is very romantic, and I thought you'd be sharing more than the words of her mother, but I understand.
You are a good storyteller - happy travels.

Very profound J.J...
by Arthimis on Tue May 25, 2010 12:15 AM PDTGood for you, revisiting your memories and dream/s...
I had a similar experience with a Hungarian girl from Budapest back in summer of 2001. We met in California and 10 days after she left and right after 9/11 (long funny story...), with a lot of difficulties, I chased her all the way in Budapest! before my departure, one very gray october day in Moscow Ter (Square), I was sitting on a bench alone thinking about her..., I swore it was the most melancholic moment in my life (next to leaving Iran 28 years ago...) I met her once again in 2003 and still e-mail each other from time to time... Her name is Gabriela and we loved each other very deeply, but it was one of those impossible love stories, perhaps something like yours! Thank you for sharing your memory and experience with us... Your photos and story lines were quite poetic and brought back my own memories...(Maybe, I should blog my little story with some old photos of that time!)
Thank you again...
Love and Peace

NOT being superstitious it is your destiny
by amirkabear4u on Mon May 31, 2010 01:35 AM PDTYou are not dreaming but just following your own destiny, without knowing it. Maybe this story helps. I visit my relatives, in Iran, once a year and in particular for wanting my father to see his grandchildren at least once a year. Last summer I booked the tickets well in advanced (not sure why) for this last noruze and contrary to my family's wishes I decided to stay for 3 weeks and not the usual 2 weeks. My only excuse was going all the way to Tehran why not stay for 3 weeks. Every other time we stayed for about 2 weeks. Guess what happened on 3rd week. My father suddenly passed away on the middle of 3rd week. This was his and our destiny to meet for the last time.
oh not finished yet. As you know it is not a common practise to ring close relatives who are living abroad and give them the bad news on the first few days. The airlines problems happened just a few days after his death. It would not be possible to get myself to Tehran not even 7 days after his death. If I was luck probaby by 10th day. All this adds up to the destiny too.
Revisiting dreams...
by Monda on Fri May 21, 2010 10:18 PM PDTand creating new ones is Essential to our being here on this planet. Never let go of your dreams Jahanshah. And if she is still the one, don't let her go again. Life IS Too Short.
it was hard to open and view these pictures due to their large
by Mola Nasredeen on Fri May 21, 2010 09:17 PM PDTfile size. They are anywhere between 180,000 byte to 250,000 bytes and it takes a long time for them to open. I have noticed the same problem with other pictures as well. So they need to be saved for web in smaller sizes (30K or so).
Very nice

Budapest seems to remain still a poor but very antique city.
Thanks for sharing.
