Humming in Persian
by Aref-Adib on Mon Sep 03, 2007 03:16 AM PDTOn my first visit to Salzburg 16 years ago, I particularly enjoyed looking for places where the film was shot. I found myself humming to the Sound of Music in Persian! In one occasion I could hear a girl singing the same song in a distance. When I got close enough I saw it was a very young Iranian girl singing it in Persian too!
I loved it and could sing along!
by alireza on Mon Sep 03, 2007 12:29 AM PDTif I recall correctly I have all version of this movie. Beta Max, VCD, DVD, VHS!
I kinda still amazed with such great translation and art work! well done all those invovled!
Me Too!
by Parham on Sun Sep 02, 2007 12:18 PM PDTI think my aunt alone took me to see this movie three times. I must have seen it about five times as a kid altogether. I also had the 45 rpm singles from the movie, which I played many times a day on my baby gramophone! Not to mention that I had fallen in love with Julie Andrews. I think the love lasted until I was about nine...
Great one, thanks Bahram!
MY FAVORITE FILM EVER ...
by Darius Kadivar on Sun Sep 02, 2007 11:40 AM PDTLOVED THIS I remember my mother taking me, my brother and sister to this movie in Cinema Aryana in Shiraz one summer afternoon after a good swim in Namazi Swimming pool and a good Pizza in a restaurant on Khiyabooneh Zand.
I will not forget the immense good feeling we all had after seeing this movie and it stayed with me for years. Also I was born the year it came out so it was very special to me.
THANKS FOR SHARING
