Forcing women to cover themselves so some dirty-minded men wouldn't get overexcited by seeing their beauty is forcing women to block their existence .

If a gathering of women dared to appear in public with shaven heads (without hijab, of course), would the men still be so 'tempted'? If so, perhaps the temptation is not the fault of women's physical genetic attributes, but the failure/refusal of men to accept their feminine 'sisters' as equal partners in pursuit of peace, understanding, and intellectual/spiritual evolution(?). (However, your suggestion brings more comical images to mind.)

There is no guarantee that they dislike this new form of hijab, take the opportunity and set it as a new standard for hejab after a while. if it happens it would undo all the modifications that Iranian women have fought for all these years of post-revolution. It looks like running backward and does not serve the purpose of disobedience.
secondly, it is very unlikely for younger generation to keep up with thism of hijab where they use to drive, work, and study. whereas in societies that wearing burqua is common women are not active in those fields.

as an act of civil disobedience Iranian women should start to dress in burqa.  Can you imagine the consequences?  IRI HATES the Taliban and wants to be seen as a progressive force for women in Islamic countries.  What would they do?  Can you just magine?  Either they'd have to arrest women for GOOD hijab for wearing burqa, and it would be all over the international press...or they'd just have to have a country full of women wearing burqa and deal with it. It would be very...funny...
