Kucinich rules!
by Rosie T. on Fri Nov 23, 2007 05:03 PM PSTRegistered Dems should vote for Kucinich, registered Republicans vote for Paul in the primaries. Important to make a point to the status quo that there is a SUBSTANTIAL voice in BOTH parties that is sick of the same old bs. As for the actual elections, if one of them makes a good enough showing, they can always run as an independent. And would be better off doing so, probably, it's more accurate.

Iranians for Kucinich
by Cy (not verified) on Fri Nov 23, 2007 05:03 PM PSTI admire both men; I am for familiar with Mr. Kucinich however; unfortunately, given the state $$big spendings on irresponsible & self promoting advertisements, and the lack of political will & education in our society, leaves neither of these gents much chance of winning and perhaps not even a vice-ship. However, I think if these two form an alliance & declare themselves "Independent" - as they are, they may have a chance.
May be that's wishful thinking on my part.

Pro-peace candidates must remain on the stage
by Ari (not verified) on Wed Nov 21, 2007 08:28 PM PSTWhat we should take into consideration is that presidential candidates like Rep. Dennis Kucinich has raised the bar and made Iran a major topic of discussion in the Democratic Debates. As a result the top contenders Hillary Clinton, Barka Obama and Edwards are now challenging one another with respect to their position on Iran. Iran has now become the major topic of debate. Through Kucinich we can keep the topic of Iran alive and ensure that the Hillary, Obama, and Edwards clarify their position on Iran. As such, providing the adequate funding that is needed to ensure that he remain in the New Hampshire Primaries is important. Once in the primaries he will have more air time to debate on an equal footing with the other presidential hopefuls.
I personally like what Dennis Kucinich stands for: he is honest, he has strong beliefs and can't be intimidated. He is not afraid of taking positions even if he is the only candidate on the stage making such statements.
I liked the fact that he said I will not give my support to any Democratic candidate if they are going to use military force as a tool for foreign policy; while all the others immediately said yes with no preconditions.
Furthermore, he does read extensively before he votes on a bill, unlike the other candidates who vote on bills to only change their views after finding out what they actually voted for. This goes for Hillary, Edwards and the others. As Dennis Kucinich said, "wouldn't it be great if a president got it right the first time."
I also like the fact that he is not willing to sell his views in order to obtain funding from various interest/lobbists groups.
I also like Ron Paul, and think he is a great candidate, however, I personally don't think that the Republican party will win the next election. The American public is sick of eight years of what the Republican party has dished out to them under the Bush Administration. They want a change.
What we must do is to ensure that Kucinich does not get kicked out like Mike Gravel. Then who do we have left - Hillary, Obama and Edwards with no one to really challenge their positions!
Anyway as Mojgan said do not discount the little guy? If everyone who liked Dennis actually did throw their vote for him and supported him, as opposed to taking the position that he doesn't have a chance, you never know where he would be in the rankings. It is up to us the people to vote for the candidate that we believe shares our values as opposed to taking a laissez fair attitude that it is a waste because Hillary and Obama are already too high up in the rankings.
Ron Paul gets my vote and would love to see Kusinich as his VP
by Bavafa on Wed Nov 21, 2007 09:01 AM PSTI never thought myself ever voting for a war monger party (republican) but Ron Paul will certainly get my vote if he ever makes it to the general election as I would not join republican part. I have looked at his voting records and he does not seem to be a just an empty drum.

To Mojgan
by Bored Iranian dude (not verified) on Wed Nov 21, 2007 05:51 AM PSTI understand your point, and your very correct about pre judging an election, but no candidate in this raise has gathered so may supporters from both Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, Greens and non voters like Ron Paul. Go to a Ron Paul rally, you will meet all sorts of people.
Kucinich cant win the democratic primary with Hillary and Obama, its not possible, every poll shows that.
Now why can Paul win the republican primary? Because he is drawing back the base of republicans who voted for Bushes "non intervention foreign policy" 7 years ago. For old school conservatives (and the average american), the US should stay out of war. Dr. Paul is the ONLY candidate on the Rep side offering this!
Pluss, imagine what would happen if Paul did win? We would have two anti war candidates for president and calm the world down for at least 4 years (Paul would beat Hillary and Obama, look at his voting record)
Here is his strategy for Iran: Go on youtube.com and do a search for "ron pauls first action for president" and listen to him talk about Iran.
The regime in Iran is an iranian problem, its our duty to solve it, the US military complex can in no way solve the problem (they are not interested in solving it). Ron Paul holds this stand. Iranians abroad please stop cowering behind other countries to solve your own social problems.
So let's all decide and vote for one candidate
by XerXes (not verified) on Wed Nov 21, 2007 04:16 AM PSTI am going for Kucinich, is that it. I think Iranians should agree with the Iranian-American Committee. For once let's unite. (I don't think he can make it, but if we all vote for him, that would change the equation
Kucinich
by mojgan (not verified) on Wed Nov 21, 2007 02:27 AM PSTIt seems like all the posters that write "Kucinich has no chance of winning" make an excellent case study for the "power of suggestion " , since the stablishment has easily made up their mind for them by suggesting Kucinich has no chance of winning .
Have you ever thought what would Kucinch chances be if ALL of the people that like Kucinich but have bought the massage that he will win just ignore the massage and vote for him ?!!
Ron Paul Pres, Kucinich Vice president
by arash z (not verified) on Wed Nov 21, 2007 12:53 AM PSTI think they would make a strong non partisan team together.

Hey guys, please... It won't make any difference either a democrat becomes the president or a republican. USA has got plans and the system supports it especially for the international issues like Iran. Not the Iranians in United States, nor the American themselves can change this. The system will decide if there should be a war or not. The system will decide whether to change regime in Pakistan or not.. Its not the people. That's a sad reality and at the same time a necessity for the imperialist USA..

Listen dude, if you want to end the american empire, bring troops home, cut down on the Pentagon and the CIA, vote Ron Paul
HE IS THE ONLY CANDIDATE TO CALL THE US BASES ACROSS THE GLOB "AN EMPIRE", and he wants to end that. just go to his website and watch his videos and what he says.. I PROMISE you, you will fall for his views. He voted no to Iraq war, NO TO IRAN SANCTIONS, and has constantly held speeches AGAINST A WAR AGAINST IRAN.
Sorry for spamming RP posts on a kucinish video commentary, but its needed.
Dennis, Gravel and Paul
by Bored Iranian dude (not verified) on Tue Nov 20, 2007 04:07 PM PSTDont get me wrong, I like Gravel and Dennis, I like them alot, but they do not preach the foreign policy the US needs, mainly to simply stay out of foreign issues. Gravel and Dennis want to get involved in Darfur and so on, even thought its very good hearted of them to do so, it will only start another domino fall for the need to intervene all over the globe to stop "the bad guys from killing innocents"
They dont have the money, they dont have the polling.
Support them further for congress, but Irans greatest candidate is Ron Paul, there is no question aabout it. Every iranian lobby group in the world should help this man.
Go to RonPaul2008.com
PS: He raised 4.2 million dollars in one day in online donations, the media are already out after him and AIPAC is accusing him for a whole lot of bull because he wants to cut military funding to Israel/Saudi Arabia and so on.
Vote Ron Paul
by pahlevan (not verified) on Tue Nov 20, 2007 03:49 PM PSTKucinich is a great candidate but he has slim chances of winning. Iranians should register republican and vote Ron Paul.
Kucinich, a good candidate
by notowar (not verified) on Tue Nov 20, 2007 02:51 PM PSTGlad to see Iranians getting involved in presidential election. The major push for him must happen before the primaries and while I admire your courage to take this on, I believe you (we) would be more effective if we don't limit our activities just to Iranians....
Good Luck
Don't fool yourself...

Ageh doost darid republicans to win then vote for Kos....
by Irannejad (not verified) on Tue Nov 20, 2007 12:46 PM PSTI wish they would have used a different alphabets in the "announcement in Persian". He seems to be a nice guy but voting for him is like taking votes away from the Democrat front runners and maximizing the chance of winning for a war monger Republican.
I don't like Mitt Romney. He sounds worse than Bush.
Kucinich and the Unidentified
by Aref (not verified) on Tue Nov 20, 2007 12:17 PM PSTDennis Kucinich has better chance of getting abducted by a UFO than winning the Democratic primary. But kudos to the committee members for getting involved and supporting the candidate they like the best.
KUCINICH, HIS WIFE IS HOT
by Saggezard (not verified) on Tue Nov 20, 2007 11:43 AM PSTVery hot an half his age too. That is very cool.
