for appreciating my sense of humor. Funny as it may sound, in reality the case of Haleh Afshar is a bitter and nauseating testament to the degree that Iranians are prepapred to bend backward in order to please and worship their foreign masters. Afshar is just a new tool in the hands of those who know when to use her for promoting their interests. She is a so called professor specialized in Islam while knowing not a single word of Arabic or being able to recite a single verse from the Quran. Remember Tudehi haye Nafti? She comes from the same genes!

A Marxist Professor of Islamic Studies!

You see we Brits have a peculiar way of making use of you Iranians. I bet you would never see a confessed Marxist, like Haleh Afshar, becoming a professor of Islamic Studies!!! except in this Great land of Britain. Haleh Afshar was sent to an expensive boarding school in England to learn the ways of the Brits. Then instead of learning how to behave like an English rose, she became a hardline Marxist. After a short spell back in Iran, she continued with her leftist activities particularly against the Shah, our one time friend and later our foe, married a disfunctional English academic, much older than herself, and continued with her braying against the Shah and later the Islamic republic. So we rewarded her by appointing her as a Professor and now that we need a female Islamic expert (as our firend in Tehran no longer play the game) she is made a Baroness! The good thing about Haleh is that she has kept her Iranian accent as if she has just entered Britain a week ago from Iran. We Brits know how best to make use of the most hardlined Commies and not only make them declare themselves as a beleiver in Islam but get them to kiss the ahnd of the Queen or Prince Charles and take a revernace before the. Aren't we Great?

It is fun to criticise

Why not get to her level and then criticise her? OR get to her level and debate against her? You people who hate her are USUALLY same people who glorify shah and other fossils who ran away from Iran out of fear. She is in an adopted country and she's working in it. Hate her for it? Too bad!
