Thank to all of you

I am surprised why everybody thanks me ?

I just state my opinion and learned a fact, so prefered to share it with all.

It is so flattering to hear all those comments, but really don't think I deserve it. This is Babak who deserve all the merit!

It's my turn to thank all of you, who payed attention to this debate and read all the comments.

سوری عزیز از اشتباه پیش آمده در نوشتن نامت عذر می خواهم. من هم خیلی از شما یاد گرفتم .یاد گرفتم که یاد بگیرم. فکر می کنم آقای گرگین هم در رادیو امید و رادیو اروپای آزاد می خواست همین را به امثال من یاد دهد. متشکرم.

I am very impressed. And I agree with babak too.
By the way Mr. Gorgin is not in CA or CA tv stations. He has been working with radio Azadi, radio Farda in Prauge as deputy director.
I did learn a lot from him too and I haven't seen his face for years either. Thanks for the photo!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw your calm cool and collected, and accepting response to Babak's rational comment!

As for Iraj Gorgin... I havn't seen him in years( since I was17-18)... I live on the East Coast and I don't watch the Iranian stations in the CA area!

جای امیدواری و تبریک دارد که دو نفر مثل سروش و مینا اینقدر محترمانه با هم حرف می زنند. به نظر من شکی نیست که آقای گرگین برای رسانه های ایرانی خیلی زحمت کشیده است. من هم ماجراهای رادیو امید را یادم هست.واقعا آقای گرگین زحمت کشید و در آن زمن که هیچ رسانه ی فارسی زبان درستی نبود برنامه تولید کرد.جلوی شاه پرست های بی منطق هم ایستاد و حرف حق را زد. برنامه های رادیو و تلویزیون ایران را خوب پیش برد. وقتی شبکه ی 2 تلویزیون شروع شد، شبکه ی یک که تلویزیون سراسری بود محو شد. در باره ی خسرو گلسرخی ببین سروش جان شما خودت می گویی چیزی شنیدی. شاید بهتر باشد شنیده را به صورت حکم صادر نکنی. ولی درباه ی سوالی که از مینا کردی، من شخصا آدم هایی را می شناسم که در داخل ایران و در رسانه های رسمی و دولتی کار می کنند دقیقا چون معتقدند اگر قادرند اصلاحی حتی کوچک انجام دهند بهتر است انجام دهند تا قهر کنند یا کشور را ترک کند یا اصلا کار نکنند. ولی خیلی ها همین ادم ها را محکوم می کنند به ضدیت با ملت یا خودفروخته بودن. مسئله خیلی پیچیده تر است. شاید تو اگر حرفی داشته باشی که ارزش زدن داشته باشد تریبونی هم لازم داری که صدایت را به گوش من برساند.اگر این تریبون کار تو را سانسور نکند چرا باید موقعیت را از دست بدهی. کار فرهنگی را باید هر طوری شده کرد. آنهم در کشوری استبداد زده مثل ایران. خوب بیژن مفید هم که همین پریروز درباره اش همین جا نوشته بودند در جشن هنر شیراز نمایش اجرا می کرد و جایزه هم می گرفت و در رادیو هم با آقای گرگین کار می کرد. حیف نبود آن نمایش ها را نمی ساخت چون آن رادیو را یا جشن هنر را قبول نداشت؟ آقای گرگین در سال های فعالیت بعد از انقلابش که به دلیل فرم رسانه های خارج از کشور بیشتر عقاید شخصی اش را باز کرد و ما بیشتر شناختیمش نشان داده که یک آدم خوش فکری است و نقدپذیر است و دیگران را هم نقد می کند. در همین نوشته هم نمی گوید همه چیز در زمان شاه و در رادیو تلویزیون کامل و خوب بود . می گوید این کمی ها هم بود. ما باید به همین احترام بگذاریم.
من به شما سروش عزیز هم احترام می گذارم که اینقدر با فرهنگی.
مصاحبه هم خیلی خوب بود یک کار تمیز و حسابی..

Just ask you a question :

What would YOU, think about someone who has same position in IRI's today ?

As I have been told (I was young at that time ) Mr. Gorgin was  the camera man during the whole trial and he has been promoted only AFTER that event.

What whould YOU, think about someone filming the trial of the rebelious for  the IRI's National TV ?

First : Golsorkhi was not a Toudeh'y.

Second : Mr. Gorgin naturaly had and has all the rights to think differently (Right is not something we give to someone, it come alongs with being a Human)

Third : There's a difference between "not agree to someone's idea" and " decieving a high value jornalist who fight for his idea"

and this, coming from another "jornalist" at that time of crisis, obviously only  to save his own statut and sure his own life !

I respect Iraj Gorgin

I respect Iraj Gorgin very much too.
I remember his radio Omid in LA and his radio show on Radio Azadi well.
After Islamic revolution we grasped this bad habbit to judge people based on what we assume is right and that's detoriating ourselves.
Just because Iraj Grogin was the chief editor of National TV and radio in Pahlavi's, we assume he was all with them. Read his words please and think to yourself.
All SALTANAT TALAB people in LA were too against him to even tolerate him being in LA. And now here we go again.
He is exceptional and did exceptionally good for generations.
I personally learned a lot from him.

Mr. Gorgin

We better always give people the right to think differently and believe in different ways. After all most of us know that HEZB E TOUDEH was not righ. It doesn't mean that they had the right to kill Golsorkhi. but Iraj Gorgin had the right to disagree with him.
He has done a lot for Iranian media for 50 years.
Both inside Iran and outside.
Yes, he is the Iranian of the day.

He hasn't been executed after the Islamic revolution (he had left Iran before that) but I remember well, he decieved Khosro Golsorkhi, his brother in law,  during the whole time of Golsorkhi's trial !

....and now: Ladies and Gentlemen : He is the Iranian of the Day (?!!!!!)

Great voice

Used to have a great voice, my late mum did fancy his voice!!
Anyone has recent picture of Ali Hosseini??, He used to be TV 2 presenter ,( pre-revolution, that is)
