In parts of Iran, female relatives of the future bridegroom go to the public bath to see what the potential future bride looks like when she is naked and report their observations to the bridegroom. If the man and woman have met before and like each other, then the female relatives first visit the family of the girl. She will serves them tea. How she performs is important. by amirkabear4u on Tue Sep 04, 2007 12:57 PM PDTIt is time this Khaastegaari laws were abolished. Khaastegaari is outdated, boaring and most importantly can end up against the bride herself. It is a long issue which really needs a book to explain it. However there should be a similar ceremony to keep everyone happy.
