ahmad shah & reza shah
by me (not verified) on Sat Dec 15, 2007 09:41 PM PSTI accept the fact that Ahmad shah of qajar was a democratic king. he was a very educated and informed king. Sadly, his ruling style was too ahead of his time. Iran needed a dictator at that time to fix iran. That’s why I think reza shah did a good job at that time as a king!

by Hottie (not verified) on Thu Dec 13, 2007 09:17 PM PSTDorough Shaakhdaar chera migi. When you tell a bigggggg lie, nobody believes anything else that you say. Do you have any proof that "Mohammad Reza Shah tortured millions of Iranians by installing SAVAK"? Where are those "millions" today. The only ones that we have seen of them are the thugs of I.R. Besides, multi-"millions" of people should have been in savak to be able to torture those "millions". That is pretty much every grown-up in the 30 million population of iran at the time - that should have been either in prison or serving savak. And where were these "millions" kept where the total capacity of all jails in iran was only tens of thousands at the time. You might as well claim that you are "jesus Christ" as it would be as credible as your "millions" here.
Shaban-e bimokh
by Batman (not verified) on Wed Dec 12, 2007 09:46 PM PSTis, in my opinion, still the leader of the monarchist camp, haha, this, of course, says a lot about them.
My grandfather knew Reza Khan personally
by John carpenter (not verified) on Wed Dec 12, 2007 05:02 PM PSTReza Khan did not have any formal schooling. He was trained as a soldier by the Russians. He was a MirPanj (Colonel) of the Qajars. The British helped Reza come to power with the help of a Mullah named Seyed Zia Tabatabaii. reza Khan was forced to abdicate during WWII by the UK. Mohammad Reza, was installed as king by the British. In the 1950s the US got involved and backed the Shah instead of Mossadegh. From 1953-1979 Mohammad Reza Shah tortured millions of Iranians by installing SAVAK, the secret police. In 1979, Mohammad Reza fled tehran and permitted Khomeini to return to Iran. the Shah gave permission for Khomeini to land in tehran by telling his Generals in Iran not to shoot down Khomeini's Air France plane. The Shah helped install Khomeini and the Islamic Republic.
After about 30 years, Reza Pahlavi the US Green Card holder living in Maryland has come to the conclusion that his father didn't steal enough from Iran so he can live a life without working. Reza has decided to return to Iran and steal some more money by becoming a "constitutional king".
Constitutional king=welfare recipient
Reza Pahlavi do me a favor, "get a life".
And call me up when you do.

by Ali Agha (not verified) on Fri Dec 07, 2007 01:02 AM PSTYou need to pull your head out of your ass and get a brain transplant. The only thing Ghajars did was give up the northern half of the Iranian territoy to support their disfunctional lifestyle. Reza Shah was a great leader who pulled Iran out of the dark ages and it is because of him that even today, after thirty years of mullahs ruining Iran, we are still head and shoulders above our neighboring countries. Pull out a map and look at the countries surrounding Iran. 200 million arabs with all that oil money don't even manufacture a NAIL. All those fancy structures that you see in Dubai, Kuwait, etc.. are designed, engineered and constructed by foreigners. During Ghajars, people of Iran (not the royalty) lived no different than those surrounding our country. Reza Shah's only mistake was not killing all Mullahs.
REZA SHAH SPOKE RUSSIAN AND TURKISH
by Saggezard (not verified) on Wed Dec 05, 2007 06:43 PM PSTContrary to popular belief (result of brain washing mainly by the now defunct Tudehis) that Reza Shah was an illiterate and ignorant brute, in fact he spoke Russian and Turkish fluently and of course Persian. Unfortunately today our leaders barely speak one language but have high claims to knowledge and carry many titles (eg. Doctor Ahmadinejad, Ayatollah Rafsanjani, Hojatoleslam Khatami, Hazrat-e Emam Khamenei, etc.)
Reza Shah was from
by Rostam-e-Dastan (not verified) on Tue Dec 04, 2007 06:45 PM PSTReza Shah was from Mazandaran. He was not from Rasht and he was not a Turk either. When he was an officer (long before he became the king), he served in various provinces of Iran; hence he could speak several Iranian languages.
To Minaa: being a Turk doesn't make you a disgrace. Also, you are wrong about 70% of Persian being Arabic.
To Reza shah Kabir: I don't know if you have ever traveled in Iran, but people of Iran in many rural areas dress exactly like Afghans. Afghans are our brothers and sisters, by race, language, religion, and history.

He overthrew ghajars
by Javad Agha (not verified) on Tue Dec 04, 2007 01:14 PM PSTHe overthrew the glorious ghajar dynasty, and ruined
the country and took it backward to ages.
Ahmad shah was a great king, very powerful, with great
knowledge, very smart and educated, and was very
democratic. Iran has never been in its best shape and
form and well respected any time in its history than
during Ahmad Shah's time.
We should bring back the monarchy of glorious Ghajar dynasty
We owe him a lot!!!!
by Reza shah Kabir (not verified) on Tue Dec 04, 2007 12:07 PM PSTIf it wasn't for him, we would be dressing like Afghanis now and didn't have last name either.

Something about Reza Shah
by Milan (not verified) on Tue Dec 04, 2007 09:57 AM PSTWhat a cool footage. His presence commands such power and respect, so becoming of a Shah. I bet he had balls as big as Imam Reza's Gonbad in Mashhad. I agree that his son, however, ended up on the shallow end of the gene pool.
