Hi Everyone,
I am alive and well back in Katmandu. I reached the summit of Ama Dablam on October 29th at 12:30 PM in great sunny but windy condition. I reached the summit about 10 days earlier than the planned date. [Ama Dablam is a mountain in the Himalaya range of eastern Nepal. The main peak is 6812 metres (22349 feet), the lower western peak is 5563 metres.]
Thanks to great weather condition as well as my body's cooperation. Once I left the Base camp I never returned and continually went up to Advanced Base Camp, Camp I and Camp II... I skipped establishing a third camp which is the usual way and went for the summit from Camp II directly.
On October 29th I left Camp II along with Nima Sherpa at 2:30 AM and continued up until reaching the summit at 12:30 PM... The srong wind was the only obsticle but after spending a full hour on the summit we headed down and reached back at Camp II at 7:30 PM.
The Summit view was beautiful, and Mt. Everest was towring in the background as it it shows in the attached pictures...
I look forward to see you all soon and share the slides...

Congradulations except for the IRI Flag ;0(
by Darius Kadivar on Mon Nov 19, 2007 02:46 PM PSTKudos to your physical courage with the exception for your clumsy choice of the Flag of the Islamic Republic which truly does not deserve this attention.
Its your choice after all but I doubt it is that of most Iranians.
Peace
Congraulations Saeed Jan!
