I only have two wish left
by Colonel Hemayat (not verified) on Fri Nov 02, 2007 11:06 AM PDTI only have two wish left
I want to see the Mullahas gone, down in the drain of my fucking toilet and I mean the Iranian “MOSTARAH”
Number two is that I want take H.I.M coffin , carry it on my shoulder , and walk from Cairo to Tehran.
In Tehran, I will let the soil of Iran embrace the body of one her turest children. H.IM. particles will become a part of Iran just as he had wished so many times, then and only then will his soul rest in peace.
I can only die then so peacefully , a death I have been wishing so hard for the last thirty years.

Hitler/Shah
by Rosie Torah Tora (not verified) on Thu Nov 01, 2007 12:04 PM PDTI'm Jewish and I'm not obsessed with Hitler! That's why I favor a one state solution! :D Truth and Reconciliation is the only way. I forgave Hitler long ago. Right now I'm much more concerned about Bush.
And anyway, Mr. Why, Shah was nooooooooooooooo Hitler. And frankly as a Jew I find the comparison offensive....Naaah...actually it's really just kind of silly...like...comparing a bonzai to a sequoia tree.
And just why are you so obsessed with people who are obsessed with the Shah if I may know?
NEWSFLASH NEWSFLASH!!! THE PILOT WHO DROPPED THE BOMB ON HIROSHIMA AND NAMED THE PLANE AFTER HIS OWN MOTHER AND REENACTED THE EVENT AT AN AIRSHOW TWO DECADES LATER AND WAS PROUD OF IT "ALMOST" TIL THE DAY HE DIED ACCORDING TO SOURCES DIED. TODAY. DEAD DONE GONE. POOR MR. PILOT. SHAH/HITLER?

Food for Thought: Georgia Seeks Restoration of Monarchy
by Darius Kadivar on Thu Nov 01, 2007 05:58 AM PDT//www.eurasianet.org/departments/insight/articles/eav101207a.shtml
TIME FOR A KING FOR GEORGIA?
GEORGIA PONDERS RETURN OF MONARCHY: Leaders of Georgia's parliament along with several opposition parties have voiced their support for an initiative by the country's Orthodox patriarch to restore Georgia's monarchy on a constitutional basis. "The Patriarch for me is a great authority, and all of his thoughts and proposals demand serious consideration, Nino Burdzhanadze, the speaker of parliament said. She added that restoration of the monarchy could not happen immediately. Georgia's monarchy dissolved in 1801 when the eastern part of the country was absorbed into Russia.
Historical Footnote: Between 653 and 333 BC, both Colchis and Iberia survived successive invasions by the Median Empire, and later the Persian Empire. At the end of the 3d century B.C southern Iberia witnessed the invading armies of Alexander the Great, who established a vast Greco-Macedonian empire to the south of the Caucasus. Neither Iberia nor Colchis were incorporated into the empire of Alexander or any of the successor Hellenistic states of the Middle East. The following 600 years of Georgian history were marked by struggle between Rome and Persia (Iran) including Parthians and Sassanids who were fighting long wars against each other for the domination in the Middle East including Syria, Mesopotamia, Armenia, Albania, and Iberia. In the 2nd century AD, Iberia strengthened her position in the area, especially during the reign of King Pharsman II who achieved full independence from Rome and reconquered some of the previously lost territories from declining Armenia. In the early 3rd century, Rome had to give up Albania and most of Armenia to Sassanid Iran. The province of Lazicum was given a degree of autonomy that by the end of the century developed into full independence with the formation of a new Kingdom of Lazica-Egrisi on the territories of smaller principalities of the Zans, Svans, Apsyls, and Sanyghs. This new Western Georgian state survived more than 250 years until in 562 when it was absorbed by the Byzantine Empire.

Why can't we think of a better future for Iran? Why compare bad with worse? We deserve better. What we have in Iran today is a direct effect of Shah's policy. Instead of educating Iranian youth and balance the wealth in Iran, they stole and then hand it out to the next bunch. He never distinguished between westernization and education. As result poor took side with primitive religion. Even today most Iranian abroad can’t function as coherent unified voice. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians.
shame on Egypt - he's not a Muslim
by Anonymous-haha (not verified) on Wed Oct 31, 2007 11:28 PM PDTshame on Egypt for destroying the sanctity of a mosque by giving this bloody dictator and a western puppet a place to be buried.
He's not a Muslim by any means. He was a drunken playboy who drank champagne to prove how civilized he was to the westerners. He was a misplaced westerner in Iran who touched the Holy Qur'an only during his coronation - just like his supporters.

Those who still criticize the shah have their heads up their ass
by iroonee (not verified) on Wed Oct 31, 2007 08:43 PM PDTHow ignorant does one have to be to still criticize the shah after 30 years! Just what is the point? Move on for god's sake! Where the hell have you been in the last 30 years that you are too blind to see that Iran has gone to shit under the mullahs! The mullas killed millions in the Iran-Iraq war and thousands of political prisoners. What is the point of criticizing the Shah now? He died and the mullas crapped on everything good we had because morons like you cannot get their priorities straight. There has been no freedom in Iran in the past 30 years, and poverty is worse than it ever was! The country has been mourning for the past 30 years because the mullahs do not allow Iranians to be happy and live normal lives to which they are entitled. So get your head out of your ass and stop holding on to your 30+ year old pointless grudge. People like you are the reason why Iran is so backwards and will never move forward.

by NR (not verified) on Wed Oct 31, 2007 03:20 PM PDTI was there exactly last year today. The mosque was closed but when the doorman found out I was Iranian he let me in. He was very nice and showed me around. I did not have to wear a scarf in that mosque. He gave me a robe to wear since I had short sleeves. It was cool! I'm glad I was there. Shah had many flaws but he was like family in my eyes.
