Are you an idiot? The shah
by Talkheh (not verified) on Thu Jan 31, 2008 09:45 PM PSTAre you an idiot? The shah brought Iran out of the islamic shia dictatorship? NEWSFLASH: ISLAMIC DICTATORSHIPS DIDNT RULE IRAN UNTIL 1979 AS A RESPONSE TO THE SHAH
Learn your history, dumbass. The Shah didn't replace islamic fundamentalism, he replaced the democratically elected government of Mohammed Mossadeqh.
Another typical rightist idiot who doesn't know what he's talking about. Read before you open your mouth next time.
shah´s real friend !?
by ariapars (not verified) on Thu Nov 29, 2007 08:47 AM PSTthis is a typical leftist point of few. to compare the shah of iran with the president of the iraqi bathist.
no one defends the mistakes of the shah´s dynasty, but how ever it was it was a true iranian dynasty and the pahlavis brought iran out from the islamic shia dictatroship.
iran was not europe or america, democracy is a big lie, now where in the world democracy exist.
in europe and america we have the dacitatorship of capitalism, the great companies. jfk hisself was a puppet of the great american concerns, specialy the military industry.
rest in peace your majesty, we will keep your heritage alive.

JFK's real view on the Shah
by John Carpenter (not verified) on Tue Oct 30, 2007 09:13 AM PDTi have close friends of JFK. They say that JFK hated the Shah. JFK believed that the Shah was a dictator. JFK loved freedom. The Shah was opposed to freedom and tortured many innocent Iranians. Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch all accused the Shah of Human Rights violations. The Shah's only real friend was Saddam Hussein. And where is Saddam now?
kaveh's "logic"
by verifiable (not verified) on Tue Oct 30, 2007 06:47 AM PDTKaveh you are seriously sick. You didn't live during time of shah but you say "we had it good." Obviously it wasn't "good". People wanted basic rights, which they deserved. Iranians made Iran, not shah.
If "magical" pahlavi sperm had terminated itself, as it should have, there would have been other leaders who would have "modernized" and probably better. If that coward hadn't run away and always let the americans do his dirty work, he would have had a chance. he pissed it away, not iranians. as a leader, he failed the test of the people.
monarchsits take no responsibility - they just say "not perfect", but "good". I think that doesn't help us evolve AT ALL. BAHMANI is correct - no evolution! Homoiroonius u are one!

Then and now
by Kaveh Nouraee on Mon Oct 29, 2007 03:52 PM PDTThis video comes from a time when the word "Iranian" wasn't the dirty word it has become today.
Yes, I said, dirty. The worst part is that it became that way at the hands of a handful of so-called Iranians who took something, while not perfect by any stretch of the imagination whatsoever, and crapped on it, covering every square kilometer of our homeland and every minute of our history and culture with Arab-inspired s**t.
OK, so maybe JFK didn't care for the Shah. But with the exception of one trip to the U.S., the final one when that peanut-farming horse-toothed idiot Jimmy Carter let HIM come to NYC for cancer treatment (by which time his lymphoma was already end-stage) the Shah was received with the respect worthy of a monarch (regardless if you liked the monarchy or not).
I hope everybody can eventually pull their heads out of the sand and see that, although it was far from perfect, we had it good. Damn good. And it was only going to get better, if we weren't so hell-bent on immediate gratification. And just like everything else, we pissed it away.
It brings to mind the song from Queen. It seems fitting that it was a Persian who sang the chorus:
I want it all
I want it all
I want it all
and I want it now
IROONI SHOULD KNOW
by Colonel Hemayat (not verified) on Mon Oct 29, 2007 01:37 PM PDTOne should know, H.I.M keeps a world record of speaking in English as a second language publically WITHOUT notes during an OPEC summit.
He was also a world class pilot ( during an attempt on his life, he managed to land his sabotaged plane)) and a race car and motor cycle driver , he was simply everything a Joe Jerkoff like FOAD would want to be.
They are not Iranian
by Airline pilot (not verified) on Mon Oct 29, 2007 01:19 PM PDTdear Mahmood, just want to fresh your memory, these are not Iranian, they are banch of Arabs who occupied our country like 1400 years ago.
Thank you JJ
by Mahmoud (not verified) on Mon Oct 29, 2007 01:07 PM PDTJJ;
Jobe well done. Thanks for reminding us how great our country was before it fell into the hands of some of the most hated Arabesque Iranians. Although our problems go back 1400 years, but men like the Shahanshah were trying to pull us out the ignorance that had grappled us for so long. Until such time when we realize Mohamad was an Arab Pedophile and a warrior and Islam is not a religion, rather a cult, we will never attain freedom or democracy. Not saying that Islam should be anihilated, rather we should be free to criticize it.

I crushed you before under my boots when I posted real documented proofs regarding Shaban Jafari affilation with National Front Party, you did not have the balls or the decency to reply!!
If it matters, Shah had a thing with Grace Kelly, they almost got married.
She was never a gambler, and I stated before JFK himself was impressed with Shah's view of the world affair, history tells us Shah was a master of foriegn affairs , the best in the modern history of Iran.
As for issue you seem to have with French whores, I suspect a personal family question mark!!! LOL.
Foad be fair!
by changiz khan (not verified) on Mon Oct 29, 2007 10:24 AM PDTYou are very unfair to your own kind. Around the same time that the Shah and JFK were meeting in Washington DC, your Emam, Haj Agha Ruhollah, who was a junior mullah in Feyzieh those days, was sodomizing those young bache mullahs, thanks to his personal pimp and former partner, Montazeri who would have examined each bache akhoond first (being Esfehooni he had a particular talent in sodomizing and being sodomized) and if the bache mullah's ass tasted nice he would have recommended it to Haj Agha Ruhollah. Now, be fair whose taste was better? A shepshoo bache akhoond after being buggered by Montazeri or those whom you allegedly accuse the Shah of having relationships with?

Things in Common....
by Foad on Mon Oct 29, 2007 08:59 AM PDTThe only thing that JFK and MRP had in common was that both were womanizer. JFK's taste was at least more classy. He fooled around with beauties like Marylin Monroe but the other dirt bag, per Alam's memoir, had his gigolo son in law (short marriage to his daughter) shipped French whores for his sexual appetite. Putting aside their sexual disgressions, JFK was a stateman with keen view of world affairs. On the other hand, MRP was a gigolo, gambler, incompetent, stooge of US and UK and a thief of Iran's wealth and heritage.
P.S. JJ has become a surrogate for Pahlevi cabal stooge D. Khar-divar.

The Good thing about the Swinging 60's
by Darius Kadivar on Mon Oct 29, 2007 07:09 AM PDTWhat I love about that periode ( I was born in the mid 60's) is how clean people were: The crew cut, the clean shave the elegant suits or gay dresses for those who could afford it of course.
Too bad the Beatles and all the Hippie dick heads changed the World ( Maybe for the Better but still ... ) and the youth with drugs, sex and Rock n' Roll.

Colonel I salute you
by changiz khan (not verified) on Mon Oct 29, 2007 05:45 AM PDTYou are a true patriot and a great Iranian.
These two were no buddies
by Colonel Hemayat (not verified) on Mon Oct 29, 2007 05:30 AM PDTDeclassified documents show what Changiz Khan said is absolutely correct. Generally JFK did not take Shah for much before meeting him but was impressed by H.I.M afterwards, nevertheless he was out there to get Shah, psychological profiles, etc. But, he had his brains blown out before he could do jack shit.
It is also rumored that Jackie Kennedy had a crush on Shah, even in this footage you can observe how she looks at H.I.M. It is a naughty , lustful look!!!
Anyway I dedicate this to Shah as I believe it truly captures the essence of the crowned father:
عزیز بومی ای هم قبیله
رو اسب غربت چه خوش نشستی
تو این ولایت ای با اصالت
تو مونده بودی تو هم شکستی
تشنه و مومن به تشنه موندن
غرور اسم دیار ما بود
اون کی سپردی به باد حسرت
تمام دار و ندار ما بود
Kennedy was no friend of Iran
by changiz khan (not verified) on Mon Oct 29, 2007 02:13 AM PDTWhile the Shah was extending a hand of friendship to the new American administration under Kennedy, JFK was already plotting to have him replaced by, you guessed it, Teymour Bakhtiar, the ruthless founder and the first chief of SAVAK. Kennedy had a strong belief in military dictatorships, hence authorising the (failed) Bay of Pigs invasion against Castro in a bid to reinstall Batista and his henchmen in Cuba. JFK was in favor of freedom, as long as it served Ameican interests. He knew that the Shah cared more for the Iranian interests than anything else. Therefore, he had to go. He even forced on the Shah to appoint the well known American lackey, Dr Ali Amini, as his prime minister. Amini, who came from the disgraced Qajar family, had no qualms in selling his own mother, let alone the whole country to the Americans, if he could return his family back to power.
Thank God, all these plots failed and JFK, who brought the world to the point of annihalation during the Cuban missile crisis, didn't live long enough to see his fiendish plots materialize.
friendship!
by Ajam (not verified) on Sun Oct 28, 2007 10:44 PM PDTThis speaks volumes about the American iterpretation of friendship and common values...which at that time meant cheap oil and free real estate for military base! In fact, the concept of relationship from the U.S. point of view is more like date-rape. You are wined and dined to the point of consummation of the realationship, and after that, their done with you!
Here is Shah paying lip service to his American masters not knowing that a decade later, at his time of need, he'll be treated like a scabbed dog and denied entry to seek cancer treatment! This is what happens when a leader falls out of touch with his people and rely on the foreigners for his survival.
We can now close our eyes and pretend to travel back to the "good old days" on a time machine, or wake up, look and see people and events for what they were and who they are!

He was an Iranian and part of us.
by Javad (not verified) on Sun Oct 28, 2007 09:55 PM PDTHe was an Iranian and part of us (me included). During his time, SAVAK captured me a dozen of times thinking I were against him. I was not against, I was against his rule and his puppets.
Shaholah was replaced by Rouholah and SAVAK was replaced by SAVAMA; basically nothing is changed.
I blame the people not the leaders which we have had.
Javid Shah Margh bar Shah. Javid IRI, Margh bar IRI.
How can we forget?
by Independent (not verified) on Sun Oct 28, 2007 08:10 PM PDTShah was a puppet of the U.S. That's why he was so warmly welcomed by the "prominent and respected world leaders"not because he was an honorable man. Let's not forget that when he was enjoying his time visiting his masters abroad, his prisons were filled with political prisoners, many tortured to death, and the majority of his people were living in poverty and misery. And I'm not defending the current regime. Just because we have an evil regime in Iran, we should not glorify the old one who was not any better.

by Bahram the iranian (not verified) on Sun Oct 28, 2007 07:50 PM PDTHe did not last because of all above, He wasnt from pepole and never tried to find a base within the pepole of Iran.JFK welcomed Iranian oil which at the time he had the control of it, and guess on what he spent the oil money???, arms, arms and more arms,.US sold him things that the army at the time wasnt able to operate without americans help just like what they do now to arabs of persian gulf. NO, no one will last if he relies on third party specialy if that third party is only interested on his own pocket.
We gave him up in exchange for oppression by backward thugs.
by iroonee (not verified) on Sun Oct 28, 2007 06:46 PM PDTIt is so embarrassing to see where we were 30-40 years ago and where we are now. Even though some still criticize his politics, Shah did so much good for the country and people by providing us with the necessary infrastructure, schools, hospitals, military, roads, imports, etc, etc. It is not comparable to the disasters that the mullas brought upon the country.
-The ruling thugs put us through a miserable 10 yr war killing our youth and teens for no good reason.
-The thugs blamed the poverty and hardship on war.
-The thugs continue to brutally torture and murder thousands of educated intellectuals and outspoken students.
-The thugs present mideval public torture proceedings as entertainment for the general public.
-The thugs steal oil revenue and other revenues to fund international terrorism and war instead of helping the poor in Iran.
-The thugs poke their nose into Palestine with all the problems that are going on in Iran...Fix your own country's problems first!
-Inflation and poverty is destroying Iran -- a nation that was becoming so modern and proud.
