Wikipedia has changed it's posting

by Laurie (not verified) on

I found it interesting that her heritage is being hidden. When someone is being praised the media does not want to associate someone with Iran....it's a fact with any muslim country. If she were doing something wrong, only then would they post the heritage and religious ties. The media for you.

As for wikipedia, when the article first came out I did a search for her name and wikipedia was a link offered, showing this:

"Alia Sabur - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Alia Sabur (born February 22, 1989 in New York City, New York) is an Iranian-American child prodigy and the world's youngest professor. ..."

BUT when I'd click the link, wikipedia removed the word Iranian from the link and only showed American. Seems they wanted to change their post of her for some reason...

Like I said, she is being praised so you can't associate anything positive with a heritage that is being scrutinized by the US.... Guess wikipedia can be manipulated too!

You guys have issues! She

by Shah mibakhshe, shahgholi ... (not verified) on

You guys have issues! She herself denies any Iranian heritage (see //news.gooya.com/didaniha/archives/2008/05/07...), but then again who is this girl to know where she is from! This infantile effort to attach anything and anyone important to a certain ethnicity is neither new, nor important. But people who practice or propagate this self-delusion are truly pathetic. Be somebody yourself, what other people do or attain does not shine your image!

good for her. but I think calling her prfessor is little premature since she is still doing phd. having said that, it sounds he has become lecturer which is quite normal.

but all the best to her.

Young Professor?

by Not healthy (not verified) on

From someone who is an Assitant Professor in a top North American institution I can say that first she is not a professor. If she still is working on her PH.D then she is NOT a professor but is probably hired to teach. Besides, this is nothing to be proud of. Kids like these grow up with abnormal childhood and will have lots of behavioral problems in adulthood
