I Don't Understand

by Kaveh Nouraee on

how someone doesn't find Funny in Farsi humorous. It is a charming and sweet read. As far as the book's detractors, God only knows what their expectations are. This is a book of funny childhood and family memories.

I recommend Funny In Farsi 100%. I'd rank it near Daei Jan Napoleon, but in English and for Iranians who grew up or live in America. Abarmard read it you'll be pleasantly surprised. It is indeed very funny.

Funny in Farsi was typically funny!
I liked it and had some chuckles while reading it !
I'd recommend it far above all the misery (non laughter) produced these days, --that is if you want a break from the sadness and sorrow!?!

I am checking it out now

Unless I am missing something I don't think it's a great book, decent maybe. There are so many great Iranian authors that she just can't stand up. I will give it more time and chance though. For now I  would say it's stupid, sorry!

She is the BEST!

by Realist (not verified) on

Her book is outstanding and on a macro level; ones who complain about Iranian women's double standards toward Iranian men should know there is at least one women who has taken the demonization of Iran and the Iranian man with a grain of salt.

Here is to her continued success..
