According to an Iranian superstition, if you are walking and your foot hits the foot of the person in front of you, what are you supposed to do? You are supposed to lock your pinky finger with the other person's pinky so as to avoid a fight.

Old or new

That was about half a century ago, so I don't know where the line between old or new is drawn, I also don't know about other parts of the country.
