by FG (not verified) on Wed Mar 05, 2008 12:29 PM PSTWell the accent is from Shomal. I wonder if the dancer is not the real singer and he's just copying the song to make this video. Hindi is a derivation from Farsi so the Hindi-Indians can enjoy this music video and understand it at the same time. I think it was fun to see and it's entertaining regardless of where it's from.
I don't hear Iranian music and I don't see Iranian dancing!
by Sepidehjanom (not verified) on Sat Mar 01, 2008 06:15 PM PSTEven though as someone with the same first name as the song title, i must admit I don't object to any form of praise and admiration; the point is the tune and break dancing form of this song has nothing to do with Persian dancing and the Iranians here should well recognize that.
It is a nice Indian/Afghani? Pakistani? tune....with the whole nine yards (choreography).
Lets see the sequel already

by Milan (not verified) on Sat Mar 01, 2008 12:29 PM PSTMost of us growing up in the 70's never learned in schools how to understand, interpret, or appreciate arts, like dance, drama, or music. So we grew up thinking that dancing, for example, should either be a channel for sexual arousal (L A style "Persian" dance) or for reinforcement of macho gender roles (Laatee). I must confess that as an artistically illiterate Persian in America, I have not done my part to nurture or demand arts that bear a Persian identity.

Iranian Dance
by Anonymous45 (not verified) on Sat Mar 01, 2008 07:16 AM PSTIranians have the worst kind of dancing. There is no artistic form to it as you see for example in Salsa. It is just moving your body parts to sexual rhythm of music in any manner you want. It looks so stupid.
