He's learned his Perian here in the US and obviously has not had much access to Persian language speakers nor TV nor the hum of it all around him.

تو ایران اگه کلفت کره ایمون بعد از ده سال تو ایران موندن میتونست به آقا بگه "آگا" دلمون ضعف میرفت ولی وقتی یکی از خودمون یه زبون دیگه رو مثل بلبل حرف میزد چشم مون رو زیاد نمیگرفت!

But you can also tell that he is reading the words from a computer screen or a script he has in front of him, because he talks fast and confident, without having the right sense for the words he is using. I can also speak 15 different languages, by learning how to read words I don't quite understand on a piece of paper!
