God bless her soul

by Akram E. (not verified) on

Although I was raised in Gonbad-e-kavous and spent a lot of time in our farm near kalaleh but never had the privilege of meeting Mrs. Roshan in person. In 1977, while attending college in northern California in the United States, I met Roshan the daughter of Mrs. Firouz who told me about her mother and her love for Iran and torkman sahra. My thoughts and prayers are with this great lady and her family. Even though I have been out of touch with Roshan for many years, I often think about the good old days and I have tried very hard to locate my dear friend but so far I have had no luck.
Roshan jon if you see this note please contact me.

Louise Firouz

by dancer (not verified) on

I had the previlage of spending two days with Mrs. Firouz at her farm in Torkman sahra. She was definately a unique individual. Such a warm person with a great sense of humor. She loved horses ,she loved Iran ,but what stood out was the respect she had from the local people. She was clearly the ruler of her domain ,in a man's country and amongst male villagers who would normaly be resistant to the idea of having a woman as their boss. I am sad that she is gone but glad I had the chance to meet her. Khodahafez khanoome Firooz. See you in horse haven.

She was the lady who lost

by Saam (not verified) on

She was the lady who lost her home, wealth and most of her family heritage after the revolution. Yet, her love of Iran never failed!

Whilst the new masters in government stole her home, her life; she refused to leave and lived in the family barn rather then give up her ties to the land she had grown to love...to that part of Iran which will forever be pronounced because of her!

Louise joon, thank you for your hospitality; thank you for teaching me how to ride a horse, thank you for commanding Zealand to be patient with me; and ultimately teaching me; Thank you for been you!

Anonymouse

A great person

by Anonymouse on

May her name always be remembered as a great person with compassion.

I think she will be loved even more now and Iranians will always have a special place in their hearts for her.  Hopefully there will be a memorial made for her in Iran.

My sister...

by Abol Hassan Danesh, Author (not verified) on

Some foreigners are more Iranians to Iranian society than the Iranians when it comes to their rare and unparalleled contribution... and therefore may we all pray for my sister Louise so her soul could freely roam around whereever she wish in the Iraian soil, air, and water as her favorite horses whom she saved from extinction keep mulitplying...

A person so BEAUTIFUL, and we learn about her after it's too late.

Only if all of US loved IRAN as much as she did, and only if there were more true "Ensaan"s like her.

May soft "Torkman Sahraa"s rain quench your thirsty soul, the soul that enjoyed and appreciated that awesome landscape and magnificent culture and beautiful people.

May GOD bless her soul.
