> lucky man : Persian girls and black men
by Another Lost Iranian in Paris (not verified) on Thu Nov 13, 2008 12:47 AM PSTWhen I think of all those persian girls who are secretly into black men, this dude must be scoring like crazy. For once they can introduce a homie to their parents.
= )
The choice of the flag used on the program
by Jamshid Niavarani (not verified) on Wed Nov 12, 2008 08:28 PM PSTI believe it was a good choice to use the present Iranian flag on the clip used. I've seen the new Iranian flag used in DC, Toronto, New York. I believe the only place stuck in the past over 30 years ago is parts of Los Angeles. If they would update their flags it would be a turn in the right direction. It is time for change. And that is why Obama won the election. It is time for dialog. Direct dialog without pre-conditions.
Tehran
by Tehran Love (not verified) on Wed Nov 12, 2008 08:07 PM PSTTehran you are so cool man. Persian girls would have a reason to love if there were more half Iranian men like you (hot, sexy, smart, funny, and cool) ;)

by simin khanum (not verified) on Wed Nov 12, 2008 07:12 PM PSTTehran has a TV show on "Rangar ang" Persian TV in DC area. He always has a dictionary with him and looks up the meaning of the new words or asks his viewers to call the show with the meanings.
Here is Tehran in "my space"

Well done to Tehran and congratulations to his dad for raising such an amazing guy.. and of course his mum..i wonder how well his mum speaks farsi.....i know people who have lived outside iran for a couple of years.. Adults not kids.. and they seem to have forgotten farsi already!!! i felt so proud watching this video... and he had no accent... is that even possible??? i would love to meet this guy.... he looks so much fun to hang out with..
WELL DONE!!!!
and thanks party girl....
I'm sharing this video with everyone i know....
ahhhhh...
by javaneh29 on Wed Nov 12, 2008 04:31 PM PSTThanks Party girl.. what a great video. We really loved it. And what a lovely young man. Someone who looks like he is trully happy with himself and who he is.
American wife jaan, I think its an interesting question, one that I have pondered on for sometime . My kids dont particulalry see themselves as Iranian which saddens me. They describe themselves as mixed race with an iranian father. However my grandson has embraced his claim to an iranian background and tells everone he is 'farsi'... well hes only 4! But he has worked something out for himself.
Interestingly the father of my children almost completely denies his background and calls himself a british citizen.
I dont know where that leaves us in this subject but Im thinking this is very much an individual preference

Reader
by American Wife on Wed Nov 12, 2008 03:05 PM PSTGood to see you again...:-)
I don't want to hijack this blog either but it still interests me the difference between Iranian, Iranian-American, or American. It's so easy for me...lol. Born and raised here. Dad from Ireland. So I consider myself American with Irish heritage. I've never used both. I think... and this is merely my thinking... that anyone who has immigrated to the US as an adult AND became a citizen of the US could call themselves Iranian-American. But is that fair to some that might live here and be a citizen and consider themselves loyal Americans... but want to be called Iranians? And what about the second generation who IS born here. Are they American with Iranian heritage?
I'd love to hear various thoughts on this. Hopefully it's not "too" off topic.
peace out.
Great!
by Sara D (not verified) on Wed Nov 12, 2008 02:29 PM PSTWhat a great clip and what a nice guy! Loved his completely perfect Farsi, no hint of an accent anywhere...also loved his story about the poor "baaabaaaie" :)

by Another Lost Iranian in Paris (not verified) on Wed Nov 12, 2008 02:10 PM PSTI know this guy, I used to see him in every persian party in the DC area. You just can't live in DC or Northern VA , as an iranian and NOT bumping into him.

by AnonymousIrooni (not verified) on Wed Nov 12, 2008 12:28 PM PSTWho made this video? I love it.
Forgot to mention
by Iranian Reader on Wed Nov 12, 2008 12:20 PM PSTHe is indeed a cutie. Wish my kid was like that!
Exactly...
by Iranian Reader on Wed Nov 12, 2008 12:17 PM PSTIt's ultimately up to the individual to decide whether they consider themselves Iranian, Iranian-American, or American. Depends on your own "aghideh"...!
(This is in continuation of the Iranian-American discussion on the Kiosk post.)
Ey valaa....
by ahvazi on Wed Nov 12, 2008 12:10 PM PSTI would give him a 100 for his Iranianess.
